Rahul or Pant - who beats whom in terms of worst captaincy race?

Undoubtedly, two of the worst captain's we have tried in recent times and has been proved by their captaincy ability shown in IPL as well as in internationals. But who do you think seems to be worst between the two and most likely to get a permanent job as captain post Rohit Sharma's retirement?

probably Jaddu. an even more crappier captain than KL and Pant

LOL idiots like you will blame PANT when Dravid and TM does all selections, encourages seniority culture and literally makes Pant a dummy captain destined for failure in a tournament where already many seniors were rested.

 

Why was someone like Bhuvi, Harshal, Chahal and Axar even selected - they already played games before and we know their strengths and weaknesses.

 

Instead of giving Umran, Arshdeep and others a chance, the SAME team is chosen for both games in a bilateral of all tournaments.

 

If you can't even test bench strength in such insignificant tournaments then what's the point even selecting these players?

Yet, blame goes to captain who is a lameduck with zero selection making ability.

Irrespective of match results, Pant & KL are not top tier captaincy candidates at this point in time (in future, who knows, if they improve). 
 

People (selectors) probably imagine KL to be a Ponting, who was not necessarily a great captain, like captain (based on stats if leading a great team).

 

While a talented wk batsman who replaces MSD is probably seen as one having some captaincy skills automatically. Pant has a lot to learn.

 

There are good captains and there are bad captains, there is no worst captain unless you appear like a fish out of water like Jadeja did at CSK!

captaincy is the biggest most important component for success in T20s ( not meaningless bilateral victories )

You cannot blame Pant's captaincy for these losses.Bigger question regarding Pant should be , is he a right fit for shorter formats. Three wicket keepers in playing eleven is ridiculous and upsets  balance of the team.Axar was batting at number 6 today.

didnt like body language of players under Pant today, tactically u can ignore coz captain get better at that time with time but the team looked clueless as pant himself. A leader body language in pressure starts to reflect on whole team 

 

Lets find captains who can get best out of players.

The seelctors, TM and Dravid think so which is why they have sticked with KL Rahul earlier for the leadership role and when he got injured out now they have given it to Pant. Don't think anything will change, they will stick with Pant too.

Not necessarily. They may have been preferred as they have been regular with Indian team in multiple formats so easy/lazy picks relatively speaking for temp short assignments. If more options are available for a long term meaningful assignment, they could consider those too. We will have to wait and watch!

I think for next series, a more gutsy decision needs to be taken. Simply announce Hardik Pandya as vice captain after having a conversation with him on how he sees the role of leadership going forward.

Not sure who is the worse captain.  But pant does not make it to the T20 team as a batsman alone.  Better if he focuses on only tests and odis.

yes, for now it seems better. one of KL and DK can do the job in t20s

That's why SKY is there at 4 and Jadeja at 5. That Jadeja option is still open because it also depends on his form  but I need someone who can bowl too.

yea but my question was what if SKY gets out , jaddu LOi batting is best left alone. Consider his run bonus if n when they come 

Sending jaddu up has mostly gone against us only . Other team have many leftie options our one n only leftie cant be jaddu 

 

Aus- warner, wade

Pak- Fakhar , Nawaz , Faheem, Khushdil 

Eng- Malan, morgan, stokes, moeen, Sam curran (at times)

Nz- Conway, Santner, Neesham 

Wi- Lewis, Pooran, Hetymer 

 

Left-Right makes bowlers commit more errors means more bad deiliveries .
