First series not lost in England since 2007 Summer

Overall a fine result to draw a Series in SENA.

However, to draw it after getting a 2-1 lead.

Also, to lose the decider Test after scoring 400+.

After  taking a first innings lead of around 140.

Feels like a loss since India could have so easily won the series 3-1 here.

Even Poyz hv never lost a series in Eng in last 10 years.   They hv drawn series 3 to 4 times in Eng, if i recall.      Same Poyz whom we laugh about a lot.       Point is if drawing the series in Eng gives us a glimmer of happiness, it shows how low our standard hv fallen.  Couple of months ago, eng test team was a laughing stock.

Na, they lost 0-1 in 2020. Zak Crawley 267 series.

Yes they did.   But they drew the series in 2016 and then again in 2018.

yeah. your point was they had not lost in last 10 years which is untrue. also they had a decent team in 2016 with misbah and younis.

In that series, 42 year old Misbah scored a century and did push-ups to celebrate. Barring a couple of exceptions, our entire batting line-up is washed up or incapable. How are we going to win overseas with such crap batting?

This is worse than the defeat in South Africa. Much much worse.

Bhade me gaya drawn series. We should have won this 4-1 if not for rain in first test and the shite show here after scoring 400+ and getting a lead of 130+.

We had a great chance of winning this one, we made selection blunders, we made tactical blunders, we dropped important catch of Bairstow.

We got complacent after taking the lead, we played poor shots and gifted wickets, and above all we are still carrying dead woods like Pujara and Kohli in the side.

We were looking good to win in 2021 while they had one solid batsman in Root.

Add one more in Bairstow discovering his form & it was too much for us.

Kudos to our batsmen in continuing their consistency across several years. They consistently sucked and depended on bowlers to take wickets, score some and produce extra chances to cater for drops.

We should have won this series easily with team we had. England won only 1 match out of 17 matches in that period and we played 4 matches in that period.

Our pathetic batting has let the team down once again and instead of 3-1, we are trying to be happy with 2-2.

Matam manake roye kya? There is always a brighter side of negative things. The shape of earth is still the same even after the devastating loss

This is beyond pathetic, we really should've set 450+ here but the chumps from Kohli till even Thakur were all brain dead :hitler:

If 378 is not enough, how will 450+ be enough, with so much time left in the game

Not so sure, we had Pujara-Rahane jodi there. And Pant wasn't in form in the first leg. Broad was breathing fire the previous evening, just felt like one of those crazy Broad spells was due. We had a couple of bad collapses in that leg.
