Well done to Zimbabwe they have been impressive in recent time. There are lots of things to improve but this win should help their confidence going ahead. Australia on other hand has been giving free ride to likes of Finch, Stoinis, Agar for too long when they have better replacement available. Even though their squad looks good for next few icc events i doubt they will win any due to lack of killer instinct which was seen in their previous teams.

Zimbabwe should be given a wildcard entry in the next ODI worldcup as far as I am concerned. Any team unhappy with the decision should be asked to go and beat an almost full strength Australia in Australia.

Who are these better replacements? I live here in Australia. The team is wildly overrated. It's a mediocre hack team.

Congrats to Zimbabwe they came close vs India...  But this win is against a full strength Aussie side.  Remarkable improvement under new coaching staff.   Lalchand Rajput tenure saw them plunging into a black hole. 

They are back up now.  Hopefully they make it to WT20 & do well in qualifiers.

Pak + WI have 1 win in 26 games since 2015 vs Aus in Aus

Zim has 1 in 3 games lol....  Zim has to be there for ODI WC in India. 

I hope they qualify for T20 WC main rounds in Aus.

Now Aus has lost a game in their own backyard against zimb with warner, maxwell, starc, hazelwood, zampa , marsh, stonis, green, smith in side

I think a lot of leagues are set to clash during PSL-BBL-CSA time i hope this benefits teams like zimbabwe

Aus can lose a truck load of these ODIs & T20s still won't mean much as they still turn up in ICC tourneys to smash others.  Also a lot less scrutiny over there except for Tests...  People have many sports to look forward to. 

It's AFL season over there. 

 

Indian/Pak fans have nothing else to look forward to & they don't do well in big tournaments...  So scrutiny is naturally higher.

I think the sports culture is Australia is far ahead that of subcontinent.. they really dont choke even their women. India had the match in bag in cwg but still lost it.. the way to beat aus anywhere is relentless pressure on them in Icc tournaments.. india did well in 2019 wc group league.. but wouldn’t bet on them if it was a KO. The only KO match india has won against aus in odi was in 2011 .. rest they all lost..

Pretty much this....  Australia can never be compared to any subcontinent side or country sports wise.  These guys know how to dominate team sports by sheer mental roughness & skill.

Pressure of 1 billion vs literally no one caring whether Aussies win or not. Easy to win when you aren't under pressure. We all see how they choke in the one sport that Aussie care about. Rugby. They always choke in semis and finals.

NZ and Saffers are comfortably better than Australia in Rugby, so it is not about choking.
