As much as  i am not a fan of Ashwin's inclusion, his variety is allowing him to stay relevant. He is putting on a show with variations.

Those variations will disappear 9/10 times against a rampaging Tim David etc

 

His best bet is off spin.

 

He is wasting too much time trying variations here. It’s his best shot to wrap up the lower order which he has been doing well in tests.

His carrom ball to left hander is more effective i think.  For a right hander he should stick to off spin. For left he has to mix carrom and off spin
