yes in that 2020 series he leaked at 7 and avg 33 which is what spoilt his overall numbers in Aus . But just 2 games so u can ignore since his volume of work in ODIs have been  good

All of you are reacting to Shammi's selection now. I would say Probably he deserved to be in the 15.

 

There are 2 WRONG Selections in the TEAM-

 

1. DInesh Karthik- i have been screaming my lung out that becoming a GOOD finisher on flat Patta Indian wickets and doing well as a finisher on an australian Pitch against a marauding Mitchell Starc and Patrcik Cummins bowling @147k are two different things- He is BOUND to FAIL. He is facing 130 to 136K Pacers now and he has a good game against that Pace. I am 99% Sure of his failure.

 

2.Harshal Patel- I have a bit of a hate ( personal issue ) in him being selected and Siraj ,shardul sitting in back Ups. i have already predicted that he will also get a niggle after a few practice matches or after the first game or so.  if a trundler is a PRAVEEN KUMAR( great INSWING SKILLS AND was BHUVI's Guru) OR BHUVI or even a deepak chahar with Specialist Swinging Skills , then I would beleive that he may be Special to Play for INDIA. i have seen and faced some SWING bowlers who become Special and famous and so BATSMAN kind of fear them ( play them cautiously). BHuvi is one such swing bowler. He becomes UNPLAYABLE on swinging conditions but on normal conditions , his swing is very minimum. Harshal had a fast ball @129K ..has a Slow ball @118K ..has a slower ball @ 105 to109K. Now All these secrets are no more secrets and his action is also studied. So i shall be very Surprised if he is allowed to stay in indian team for Long. with Siraj available as an Option , rohit may be tempted to Bring Siraj into the 15 and play him and decclare that harshal has got a niggle.

 

Shammi has experience & Pace and Siraj has Pace & extra energy. I would have preferred Siraj as he is in form but I trust Shammi too as on Australian wickets , he shall be dangerous. 

 

My regret is Siraj , umran and Kuldeep sen not being in the 15.

If anyone thinks our death bowling is bad, Shami will only worsen it. He is purely a Powerplay bowler and nothing more. 

 

Our entire bowling strategy has to change to accommodate Shami.

 

Assuming we have an attack of Shami, Bhuvaneshwar, Chahal, Arshdeep, Hardik -  Shami has to bowl 3 in PP, Bhuvi 2 in PP, Arshdeep 1 in PP. 

 

Only Hardik and Arshdeep to bowl at he death.

Yes problem is shami doesnt cover bumrah Death

even without shami we had bhuvi-arsh-pandya-axar-ashwin to take care of PP m assuming bhuvi bowls 3 in PP we just needed 3 from others 

 

Harshal form isnt helping this problem either

i don't have faith in even a single bowler in that list. Pretty much everyone one of them can be targeted.

It is a difficult situation for sure . Now that Pakistan are finding their ideal setup in terms of batting order and a strong bowling lineup,  I'm not sure we can beat them. 

 

The fact that SA are forcing bavuma to play and they didn't replace Pretorius with Mulder is a blessing in disguise for us. 

 

We might get actually get out of the group thanks to SA incompetence,  nothing more

• Guju Bhai Ravindra Jadeja Duplicate
• Rajni fan Ash bcos he can stop run rate and bowl defensively.( Patlu would be getting hit every where so he wont play )

batting -

Kela , Mottu Captain Sahab, Anushka ka Mard, Sun of Mumbai  , Old Man but he Keeps /Mottu Keeper( one guy knows how to Keep-DK and one guy knows how to Bat but is an average Keeper- rishabh)

 

Haryana Ka Jaat will be in reserves and so probably Old Man

Batting second, our bowlers can give 160-180 and still we don't have the confidence in our batsman chasing 160.
