With a proper Ceasefire in place at the LoC one can wonder why they don't wanna tour.

Pak will host it in UAE & still make money out of Indo-Pak clash.. Except the gate money which in this case is peanuts.

Either they should completely boycott this.. So that Pak doesn't make a penny out of it.  Host a Tri series at home instead.

This is proper case of 2024 elections & nobody would like to get grilled before that.

Modi's 2014 blunder comes to mind & that dreaded Lahore trip & within days we got Pathankot air base attack...  And then ISI trip.

Such a event now would lead to complete destruction of ruling party in the country & ofc they would not risk it.

Modi ain't losing any votes over Pakistan/ terrorism issue no matter what.

The perception of Congress and other 'secular' parties over this issue is at rock bottom in people's eyes. Their vociferous opposition to removal of A370 and CAA sealed their fates on this issue.

Besides BJP does not have the baggage of softening it's stand on Pak terror just to appease certain sections in India.

Yes. Modi started his first term with peace moves and it started looking good with Nawaz Sharif as PM there but soon Pakistani army and ISI thought "this is getting out of hands" so they delivered Pathankot and Uri. If Pakistani people want to blame anyone for this situation it is their lumber 1 fauz and ISI whose only shot at relevance and political power is keeping borders boiling.

The MAIN culprit in this case though is that unnamed BCCI official who leaked to the media that India may go to Pak to play Asia cup etc.

No one was expecting India to go there, but expectation was set and now it may become a big incident.

Ramiz has to react aggressively to save face with the huge pressure from fans/ex-players/media.

None of this would have happened if not for that unnamed BCCI official.

I'd say name that unnamed person & take strong action, an international incident affecting many nations (SL, Bang, Afg) may arise out of this because of 1 man's foolishness.

The timing of the controversy is unfortunate. Now the Pak team will be pumped to prove a point.

Not sure why your people hate Hindus and want indian land. You will face dire challenges if you stay on the path as a nation. Sad for your people, seem to be good folks otherwise.

That's your media brainwashing you.

Indians who travel to Pakistan are all treated very well.

lol brainwashed is you and your hate filled low IQ barbaric populace.

FACTs: Kashmir is Indian territory legally, 100s of pakistani nationals die every year in kashmir fighting indian security forces. A hindu new born child was beheaded and body left inside mothers womb in Pakistan (anyone that justifies or abets such atrocities does not deserve to live ). Go search for it its in pakistani twitter handles.

they hate Hindus and India, so they will be pumped for anything. its just a sport, more important is what Indian army does to their irregulars and regular militia is the boundary.

That might be the case as Indians traveling to Pak is rare, usually for official reason or have family there. India has literally saved Pakistani lives who travel to India for medical reason

Yet one can’t deny animosity on religious grounds, waqar & shoiab spewing religious venom isn’t Indian media brainwashing.

Rest of the world wont assist india or give importance to Indian point of view.

What pak is doing is a low intensity warfare, India is at war with Pakistan. Lol will Ukraine play Russia in euro cup soccer ? Dont give a fcuk abt what UK or Aus thinks , dont play Pak. Balls to them, India should grow a spine.

While this would turn out to be a political debate but the Congi response to that 2014 Lahore trip & subsequent ISI invitation was absolutely shambolic... They were hungover & probably thought Modi will be gone by 2019.  Poor opposition 101.  They didnt made a big deal out of it & Modi got a pass for his blunder.

Even Kapil Mishra back then had the ball"s to call out PM & ripping him apart in Delhi streets.

Overall his blunders were not used up by opposition.  Not Modi's fault this but he knew he would do well to avoid becoming Vajpayee 2.0

It's a matter of intent. Only Modi/BJP can dismantle Pak/Islamic terrorism in India. Most voters know they don't really have a choice here.

Not saying the rest are anti-nationals but the opposition can never take a tough stand against it due to their vote banks and appeasements.

who cares, let them be as 'pumped' as they want. Even with Bumrah out, we're a better team than theirs - t20 reduces impact of quality on the win/loss outcome, so game can go either way, but their level of 'pumped' is usually inversely proportional to the quality of cricket they are able to muster.

To Mat aana, zabardasti thodi hain. Nuksaan kiska hoga

talk is cheap.  They can ask and do as much mujra as they want - even without this 'dispute', they were likely to be difficult in attending ODI WC in India anyway - think back how they raised "security" concerns about asia cup in 2018, and made the Shimla game be moved to a different stadium, purely out of spite.

Just as in international relations, where India has learned to simply adapt to a hostile Pakistan that hurls feces in UN meetings, etc, BCCI has to adapt and get used to PCB doing mujra in various international forums and situations.  Figure out a way to deal with it, and manage it.  That's all you can do.  Luckily Indian cricket is powerful enough in cricket that the amount of greenbro mujra and the damage it can potentially try to cause is pretty limited.

Let them bark, let them cry, it is what it is.

Not sure thats true at least in T20. We are a better batting side & they have a better bowling side. If we had Bumrah & Shami/Siraj, we probably are are a better side. I think we are at best on par with them.

I bet BCCI can arrange a Tri series at home vs Aus/England or SA that could make twice the money Asia Cup ever will...

Also Pak is welcome to avoid WC 2023..  ICC & BCCI would take care of the marketing & hype...

Don't think PCB has the guts to do that...  They did all sorts of tamasha before WT20 2016 even their hockey team didn't tour for a event but PCT came like begging here... L And Afridi said he is more loved in Ind than Pak lol & we all saw the meltdown of Pakistani awaam

Asia cup is about not just making money for BCCI, but also to generate funds that other Asian cricket boards benefit from - from SL/BD to even the lower ranked ones like Afg, UAE, etc.

Looking at the bigger picture, ultimately I want greenbro cricket to also benefit from that.  However, for a decade or so at least, until greenbros figure out their geopolitical mess and give up the terrorism addiction, things aren't going to be optimal.
