Always knew all this bhaichara and love will evaporate once BCCI becomes firm on their stance..Also not a fan of playing with them every yr in this multi nation tournament. Play them if situation arises for knockout game, otherwise it is stupid to keep playing them group stage..

Exactly bcci must avoid them as much as possible. even in icc tourney they should ask icc to stop this bullshit of keeping them in same group. If by luck we are meeting them in ko that's fine .

If the aggressive entitled bheekmangi is rubbing us fans the wrong way, surely the BCCI babus are no different.

PCB continues to play to its home gallery and continues to ruin its relationship with a key stakeholder in cricket.   There was a time when the BCCI and PCB got along quite decently at the board level, even with political relations being worse than today.  PCB is responsible for poisoning the relationship with the golden goose of cricket with frivolous lawsuits, foolish public statements, self-defeating antics like denying permission to Pakistani players for IPL etc.

Greenbros appear to have a reality distortion field impacting their vision and 'logic'.  The symptoms manifest in not just fans, but even folks who ought to be more responsible.

It is what it is, if you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind.

If the issue is political than why play pakistan at all, even at a neutral venue? Makes no sense, this stance.

Smol thing energy there tbh.

Makes complete sense - avoid playing Pakistan as much as possible, but being pragmatic about it, choose to do it when it suits the interests of the team.  There are other sports where the laws are structured differently and India cannot execute a unilateral boycott because it would harm the team or players - olympic sports etc.

'smol thing' energy is the constant chest-beating and aggressive begging for Indian revenue, all the while pretending you are somehow entitled to it.  Not to mention the mindless enslavement of an entire country to military mafia that stands in the way of normalcy, and basic adherence to international law on clear issues like terrorism and criminal responsibility.  Only 'smol thing' folks put up with abject enslavement and looting of their entire country by feudal dictators, normal men have the courage to stand up and fight for their rights.  Maybe some day in the distant future, Pakistani quom will get to experience what a breath of azaadi feels like.  InshaAllah.

Well clearly not boycotting playing with Pakistan so why not Play in Pakistan?

what Indian revenue? india is free to not play worldcup matches vs pakistan, Pakistani players dont play in the IPL. Nor do indians sponsor their home series.

I wont reply to the political statements here as ive been to India and lived in Pak so very well know the reality of both countries. Ive seen both up close and personal so anyone from India trying to paint a rosy picture of the country can only get a facepalm out of me.

Our current approach is fine. No bilateral series and no travel to Pakistan. Only play in ICC tournaments which are held outside of Pakistan. We should stick to it.

It is up to them boycott 2023 WC. I would be very happy if they do so.

I think its fair to decide to not travel to Pakistan because of the security situation over there, especially when it comes to Indians. However, BCCI should have just pulled out from playing Asia Cup, rather than insisting on playing in a neutral venue. Its a useless tournament anyway. and also, its a bit unfair to move the tournament out of Pakistan, just because India has concerns over security.

Greenbros seem to have a problem with selective memory - last Asia cup, India had the hosting rights, but PCB did a big mujra about demanding visas for non-players and "fans", hue and cry about 'security' etc, and forced BCCI to shift it to neutral venue.  Reciprocity is a basic concept that most organizations operate by.  Whatever claims that greenbros want to make about "safety" for cricketers in their homeland, even they can't deny that relative risk in India would be orders of magnitude a smaller issue.  But still PCB insisted on doing mujra, and used its "leverage" to create problems.  Now suffer the consequences.

Nobody's painting any "rosy pictures", but attempting to make flawed outlandish comparisons is not even worthy of 'facepalms'.  Fact remains that any sane person of any religion, given a choice to build a life and future in one of these 2 countries, even you yourself - if you had the balls to be honest that is - wouldn't hesitate.

But yes, lets stay away from silly comparisons because they aren't really relevant. What IS relevant however, is the root cause that has resulted in 'normal' cricket relations between our 2 countries being interrupted.  And the entity solely responsible for that is a mafia of inept real estate gangsters who like to play dress up with shiny medals.

Not playing in world cup matches affects our ability to qualify to the next round. So we do not want to lose that chance.  Simple I guess.

Its not just about that - its quid pro quo - why should India pull out of the tournament that it has built to benefit its fellow Asian boards? PCB forced Asia Cup to be hosted in neutral venue when India had hosting rights, now its time to pay the price.

oh its simple, and he knows it too.  But since the actual reality doesn't allow him much space to "taunt", greenbros gonna greenbro, and pretend to sidestep the obvious, simply to cling to some empty 'aggrayshun'.

If India pulls out of Asia Cup other teams including Pak will suffer revenue losses. India doesn't take a single penny from ACC but contributes most of it's revenue.

I am OK with Asia Cup conducted without India in Pak but the other boards will suffer. Better for them if it gets moved to a neutral location.

They better name it "Allah ke naam pe dede baba Cup" since every participant in that (outside of HK if they show up) is seeking a bailout from IMF and they will need another one to run their cricket without Indian money.

Its a stance based on political leanings and personal whims rather than any moral grounds.

Cant answer for everyone but i know where i would wanna live, nothing to do with religion or politics at all i just like my locales greener, less crowded and roads wider.

Its not a 'whim' - its an attempt to fashion a stick out of a carrot to induce compliance with norms of civilized state to state behavior.  Morality is secondary.

Its a functional state policy which happens to enjoy broad-based public support in a genuine democracy.  Even from starry-eyed peaceniks like me who would like nothing better than 'normal' relations with Pakistanis.  And from where we are standing, it appears to be quite effective in creating negative consequences for the Pakistani state.

I don't think greenbros can fathom the damage done to goodwill amongst Indians over the hundreds of terror attacks inflicted by PakMil mafia.  Its not 'sem2sem'.

All that being said, normalcy is a desirable state for all, and bygones can be bygones by simply changing policy and leaving terrorism in the past.  But for that, greenbros need to somehow escape from under the boots of the PakMil real estate mafia and attain independence first.

Not sure if feasible but Indian team can stay in Amritsar and a bus can drive them through Attari-Wagah border carrying them to Gaddafi stadium. They play the match and come back right after the game. The distance between Amritsar and Gaddafi Stadium is hardly 45 KMs.

If the game is in Karachi they can be flown in a chartered plane from Ahmedabad and return after playing.

At any cost, they need Indian money...

No one hates Hindus in Pakistan. We respect all religions and odd incidents are no different then unfortunate hateful incidents anywhere else in the world. We respect our minorities be it Christians, Hindus. Our government, media and social media doesn't bad mouth Hindusim, while in Indian case you can see many directly attacking Islam and Muslim. Pakistanis are vocal about facist bjp, Indian occupation in IOK and extremist elements in Indian government/secret agency who spread terrorism in Pakistan. None of this mean we directly attack Hinduism. An average person on both side wants to live a peaceful life and earn bread and peace for his family. Dirty politics have ruined our region, both nations need to address IOK the core issue and resolve it for good so we both can move on.

Why was the Hindu newborn beheaded and body left inside the mother womb , why are Hindu girls raped and converted ?

your government has institutionalized hatred of other religions. Stop with the copium & look at reality. if stuff like this against minorities is taught in India, it will lead to mass riots.

Your country is Islamic and kills/ converts Hindus and Christians to Islam. India is legal suzerain of kashmir as it was ceded to India, pak and China are occupiying forces will be forcibly evicted. Pakistan sends a steady stream of terrorists to India and they get killed every week in india, there is no evidence of it happening in the other direction except flaseflags from pak.

There is no equivalence between pak and India. None you are a failed state that goes around the world begging for loans, India is a growing economic center in the world.  You are a religiously bigoted constitutionally Islamic state with army ruling the country, India is a vibrant civil society with checks and balances.
