The recent india aus series was the one aus won. Thats the team that will play in the worldcup. The one that chased a target in 20 overs.

Abey we smashed aus enough in recent past in test, odi t20, wc, wt20 and test. Talk about your phisaddi team who even loose to zim c at home.:hysterical:

Fakhar's form is also an issue for us. He is also incosistent, but gets big runs when in touch. Ideally, we need Saim Ayub as opener.

I don't rate Imam anyways because he is a very slow and soft player.

You need Imam for his consistency in middle scoring games, in the 240-280 range. Also PCB has already invested so much in him in the last 4 years, can't let it all go to waste.

Fakhar is a big match player, 2017 CT final or 2021 T20 WC SF. Always back a player like that. And most Indian venues will suit his style of batting.

Saim scored 58 in CPL T20 today with Six Sixes and a Four.

Very good and dynamic player of spin and pace bowling.

Saim’s attacking game is A plus. He is hitting more sixes than the big wrstindian players and that too against the new ball, he still needs to work on his defence. He looks great attacking but needs a lil tightening up. Unless he plays in the 4th gear all the time.

Laanat on all other sides if Aus is allowed to win a 6th WC. One thing winning all those trophies when they had that GOAT calibre team in 90s and 00s. But even in their weaker phase they have won 2015 WC, 2021 T20 WC, 2023 WTC, plus second longest stay at #1 (tests) since circa 2008-09 when their legendary run ended.

And in women's cricket they win every damn thing. No one should be allowed to be that good!!!!!!

You don't need alot of defensive game in ODIs, certainly you wont need in India.

Babar Azam and Rizwan are solid consistent players.

Salman Agha and Ifti are also two players who would make anyone skeptical. Ifti can't play pace at all. A good unit should not have bits player like Agha.

It was a decent aussie side. You guys were laughing at that bowler Ellis. He came over to india and troubled every batter lol. May i have spelt his name wrong.

It doesn't matter what Ellis or whatever did. Why are you shifting goal posts? :hysterical:

The side that beat us had Warner, Smith, Maxwell, Marsh, Starc and maybe some others as well. None of these played against you. Maybe decent for your standard but that was no where close to a full strength side.

2015 was not weak. How was that weak?

They had Warner, Finch, Watson, Maxwell, Hazlewood, Starc, Johnson, Haddin, Smith, Clarke and Faulkner who at that time had batting stats of around 40 average and strike rate of 110 odd and a bowling average of 29 walking in at #8!  That team had serious batting firepower and depth and very good all-rounders - Maxwell, Watson, Faulkner.  Their backups were not great but that first XI was phenomenal .

Near perfect modern ODI unit.  Aggressive batting and depth, High quality pace, no useless spinners or multiple so called bowling all-rounders

Pak is out of the Asia Cup. This, in a way, could be a blessing in disguise as it is difficult to win back-to-back tournaments (and teams that win the Asia Cup do not necessarily do well in the World Cup. For example, we saw that with SL last yr in T20s, Ind in 2018, etc.).

Only India managed to win Asia Cup in 2010 and World Cup in 2011
