Never seen a more meek and defensive coach than Dravid.

 

His first instinct is to play Slow-medium pacers and Finger Spinners ... and drop / ignore Quick bowlers and Wrist Spinners.

He won't be playing ahead of Jadeja any way, the pecking order for spinners is - Ashwin > Jadeja > Axar > Giant Yadav> Undercutter & then finally Kuldeep

There will always be one injury around the corner. Jadeja and Axar are not genuine spinners like kuldeep.

No accountability in Indian cricket, the rot is deep, seniors have become to powerful, virtually impossible for a young player to establish himself in the team even after solid performances. Dhoni atleast had the guts to drop the seniors back in 2011, I don't it happening now, the faster Rohit, kohli, Ashwin, jadeja varnish from the team the better.

Because they can drop Joe Root for Malan/Brook in white ball cricket. In India a player like Joe Root will be playing all formats till he turns 45.

The maha chewts dropped Bishnoi after his performance against Pak in WC

Dravid doesn't like Quick bowlers and Wrist spinners. 

 

He selects bowlers based on low ER in low profile matches and batting abity to cover for the non performing senior batters.  

 

Doesn't care about multi-condition bowlers.
