Gill probably should get another series but if his SR doesn’t improve we need to look elsewhere Tukraj or Shaw should get a look in.

If those idiots are sidelining him based on some disciplinary issue which cannot be disclosed in public then they should come out and say it.

 

Other than his fitness, Shaw has done nothing wrong.He should have been given chances much before guy like Gill in whiteball cricket as long as he is fit.

 

If his fitness is not there then he has himself to blame.

Is Shaw more talented or Proven than Symonds? Everyone has a tolerance. It could be very well that they are being harsh on him but we don’t know the full picture. India has enough talent pool that if someone has even 1 red flag we can move on.

How many balls did Shubman take to get off the mark? was it 9?  Maybe we can give him a bit of a discount for a few of those - new ball movement etc.  But even then,  if you take out those 9, rest of his innings has been pedestrian at best.  

 

There is just no way to spin this as an acceptable performance.   And the issue isn't this innings - its his consistent pattern of batting in T20s over years.  He's likely to give you this sort of return most times, and the times he somehow 'clicks', its not like he's going to deliver 200 SR innings.
