nevada Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 What's wrong with that? Dhoni should have handed over the reins after the 2015 WC. Only an idiotic cricket board would allow an ageing cricketer to chuck the test format and make merry in LOIs for a full 5 years after that. He should have been dumped in 2015-16 itself. cricketfan28 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 very natural for players with elite mindset.

Yes but if pea brain Brat had any sense he would've chucked Dhongi post the 2017 CT disaster, do you have any plausible reason as to why he didn't except possibly "corruption" at the highest levels? Reminds me of the 2011/12 timeframe when Dhongi should've sacked for his poor captaincy! Edited January 12, 2023 by R!TTER Lord and express bowling 1 1

After the CT disaster, Yuvi was discarded and Dhoni was persisted with under "experienced cricketer for the upcoming WC" quota. Also, Kohli probably got addicted to Dhoni's on field advisory service and wanted to keep him till the 2019 WC.
Stan AF Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 We saw how he handled. He didn't win a damn thing!!!!.
vvvslaxman Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I am more curious to learn how captaincy "went to" KL Rahul. That one is not juicy enough to boost his book sale.
adi B Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 It's a good thing if a player is eager to captain the side ,Ambitious!

Bigg Brother Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Ah..The dark days of 2016... I was literally fed up with that guy post 2015.. Can't ever imagine the time like would ever come agains but then came Rohit-Dravid jodi.. What a disastrous reign...
BacktoCricaddict Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 So, RJS and VK had these captaincy conversations in everyone else's presence? Somehow doesn't sound plausible.

Anyways we are neither winning test championship now 50 over WC. My only hope is next t20 wc. Hardik would be leading a young team with no knockout match hangovers, might just lift the cup.
Kerberos Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Now PanDayan wants it from Rohit. Talking like a captain.
