Why Mukesh Kumar and Shivam Mavi are preferred over Kartik Tyagi?

Most of the young pacers who were second in line,Prasidh, Sen,Tyagi are injured.

TM want a polished product instead of someone who is a WIP. It will be difficult for Paras Mhambrey to justify his credibility while trying to groom Tyagi.

 

Mukesh Kumar is a domestic senior and Mavi has become decently experienced as well. Tyagi is in that stage where he needs some guidance which Mhambrey is incapable of.

 

Injuries is another reason.

Yes in Trundler category and from UP mostly.

TM feels for the pitch curator..they dont want pitch to be hit by the pace bowlers and want to keep pitch safe with dibbly doby bowlers..even Mavi is becoming one..

For all his potential Tyagi has barely played enough cricket to justify playing for India.

Kartik Tyagi last played a ranji match in 2020, he only played 4-5 matches in last years Vijay Hazare trophy and only played 2 matches in last year's IPL. He is hardly playing any cricket so he is lower in the pecking order.
