Lord
Wasn't gonna be a great option in WTC anyway Maybe we can slot in Sundar or maybe Rahul at 5 Link to comment
Gollum
Would have wasted a spot in the WTC final. Hope to see Sundar at #5. Link to comment
Majestic
He is needed for ODI World Cup though considering Pant is not available. He is the best we have at #4 in ODIs. Lord, AuxiliA and nevada 3 Link to comment
BacktoCricaddict
Ambati Rayudu? Dinesh Karthik? Deja Vu? We know the top 3 are going to be Sharma, Gill and Kohli, so why not give Jaiswal or Gaikwad an opportunity at #4? Added in edit: Oh ... it's WTC. I was thinking ODIWC. For WTC, #4 is VK, of course. vvvslaxman
It is Oval. Probably best suited for subcontinent batsmen. Even Mishra has an 86 there. Kumble has a 100. Stability will be missed. This is why they should have introduced Sarfraz against Australia at home. Sandz 1 Link to comment

He could be a suspect against swing too (IIRC, one of the selectors or someone similar remarked that). I tend to take Ranji stats with a pinch of salt, preferring to see how a player tackles quality opponents in tourneys like IPL where they get to play with both Team India, top domestic (and not some random set of players), and overseas players. Let's see how he goes! Edited April 6 by zen Vijy 1 Link to comment

Play one of Ashwin/Umesh depending upon the conditions and add Sarfaraz at No 6. Link to comment
