Norman
Jaiswal and Gill should be our white ball openers post the 2023 world cup. Ideally, they should have been our opening pair in the world cup with Gaikwad as backup. But Rohit is the captain and he won't drop himself to the middle order role no matter what. Austin 3:!6
He should be in the team now. There is no batsman in India better than him in present form, including Gill. If we cant reward young aspiring players like this then it will be a shame. SandeepMotta 1 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Shameful selectors picked Kishan, Ruturaj. I enjoy Ruturaj LOI batting. But this is Test match. Jaiswal has proven long format credentials. Made Twin centuries in Irani Trophy. SandeepMotta 1 Link to comment

The selectors over the last 5 years (all of them) have been absolute pack of jokers. Can't think of worse selections in history of Indian cricket. vvvslaxman, Vk1, express bowling and 1 other 4 Link to comment

singhvivek141
Jaiswal, Gill, Ruturaj are ready to become permanent for Indian cricket. Rohit should smell the coffee and retire from T20's immediately, Tests after WTC and ODI's after the WC. Kohli should follow him as well in T20's and Tests (let him play ODI's as that's his strongest format atm). No point hanging for longer time and eating up slot of a talented youngsters who don't carry a choking baggage. SandeepMotta and Need4Speed 2 Link to comment
AuxiliA
Our T20 team needs a complete overhaul. Throw out all the experienced oldies except for SKY. Link to comment
Need4Speed
in T20s..Jaisawal will be the ideal partner for Gill to open..and Left right combo as well..this new agressive Jaisawal can give some cushion to Gill..also..he will be able to handle left arem pacers..which enjoy feasting on 2 right hand openers..followed by SKY Jitesh Tripathi(?) Samson Pandya lets also keep an eye on how Tilak,Jurel,Wadhera and Badoni shapes up..left handers have edge though.. Edited May 11 by Need4Speed Link to comment
wanted_desi
Hell Jaiswal should be back up opener for WC squad this year. Play fearless cricket! Majestic 1 Link to comment

Majestic
Gill Jaiswal Samson(wkt) SKY Pandya Rinku Axar That's my top 7. Link to comment
RajBan
Rinku and Tilak in middle order, Jaiswal and Gill in opening. They should replace the toxic and expired veterans ASAP. But BCCI selection committee is shameless and the corporate mafia will not allow merit to come forward ahead of their artificially built brands. Kishan is very good in smashing in pattas but he does not have the allround nuanced game so far when compared to Jaiswal or does not have the temperament to play in the middle order. Link to comment

To replace Kishan we would need Samson, as someone has to keep. Also, Pant is not coming back this year..even if he does, I will refrain him from T20's and only play him in Tests and ODI's. At the moment, only Gill and Jaiswal looks as ready for Tests...maybe Easwaran as well. Sarfaraz has choked big time against fast bowlers in IPL, that worries me if he really has ability to play pace and movement in Tests...hope he don't turn into another Iyer or Raina. Link to comment

I agree on Samson ahead of Kisaan if the latter can't play as an opener even though both are average keepers. Pant in T20 has not worked so far and will be same in future unless he finds balance. Test cricket on the other hand matches his strengths very well. Link to comment
