that is an idiotic comparison by Cummins and low IQ stuff. Olympic does not last for two years. Olympic matches is not played in a series of games. They are all knockout games or group formal playing one games against the opponents, not a series of 3-5 tests. better play WTC as a round robin format then. why make it a two-year affair and end it it one test of 5 days when teams are playing 2-5 test series to fight for test championship. if Aus-India series was one test series, we would have lost it by 1-0 in 2021 but it was a 4 test series and we won it by 2-1. we played WTC run up as 5 tests series in England, 4 tests series in Australia and then 4 tests series in India against Aus but the result of the WTC is decided by just one test match. A 3 test series gives a fair chance, not a one off test. otherwise why play 5 tests series, just play one off test and get done with it.

even one test can get washed out. it is another poor logic. and it is not about whether have one test or three tests. it is his comparison with olympics that is idiotic. Olympics are not played over two years.

if Indian players have a issue with the format then India is free to pull out of the WTC cycle and focus on IPL

Be it any format.  The ICC trophy winner is always decided by 1 game (ever since the game of cricket was invented 100 yrs ago).  LOL.     Not sure why Motu Sharma is bringing this non sense of having to play multiple finals.  Morever, by his logic India should surrender all the ICC trophies won by them so far coz all those trophies had only 1 final.    One last question Vada Pav should answer is :   Had India won the WTC final, would he hv suggested to go for 3 finals?

Final should be 1 game but the final series in the wtc cycle for each side should be played in the same month, then immediately a week later the final should be played as all teams will be in rhythm of playing test cricket.

Finals are always one off... Vada Pav & Dravid are making excuses. 

Cummins is actually a nice bloke who pretty much sh*t him up for good. 

A coach like Langer or Punter would rip them apart if they tried to take credit away from a trophy win.

India won't make it to the finals of next WTC.

 

India has to play Australia & South Africa away from home while also playing England & New Zealand at home. We'll lose enough points to not make it to the top 2.

 

Anyway, at this point fans need to realize that the IPL multi Millionaires don't really care about glory for the country. At least it's not the first priority.

We need to learn our lesson from the Gabba test win. Those guys were all young and new. We need to move on past from this current same old boring batting line up. Like seriously...where has Washington Sundar and Natarajan disappeared since then???

 

And Rohit Sharma is not a good captain. He gives up during pre-match press conferences. He abuses our players in the field. He makes Cheteshwar Pujara play like a T20 batsman. And most importantly, he chooses to bowl first after winning the damn toss! Worst captain of all time.
