This is where height helps. India should always stick to template that worked well when all bowlers were in insane form. Probably under a good coach like arun helped too. Under mambrey it's been not great. 

 

Ishant shami bumrah was the best combo. 

 

Height makes it easier to bounce out people. You don't have to strain as much. If you are shorter you can only hit certain lengths to bounce people out. Good length won't generate as much lift without high arm action. Taller ones like ishant can get that. Same with hazlewood and cummo. 

 

Bumrah has Great bounce due to high arm action but he will be injury prone because he has strain hard to generate bounce. Tall players don't have to strain themselves. It comes natural. 

 

That's where the difference lies. Prasidh siraj and bumrah or kuldeep Sen or rana should be our best combo and would fire on all cylinders. We can dominate teams with that attack. 

 

Our batsmen though are hopeless. I have no faith. We need a complete overhaul. 

 

When will we ever have a player as good as Smith. We have pant who is better than head. But no player equal to labushagne let alone Smith. Nobody. Maybe jaiswal, sundar and guys like Rinks can take over.

I have almost forgotten the 2 series wins over Aussies. 

 

We always strive to become better. Indians generally don't gloat about that as much which I do like. That's why we were able to number 1 in tests for 5 years straight and England not once. 

 

Sadly we don't have a trophy to show for it with the bs wtc finals format. It pains to see us lose another final as we came right after ipl. Had we prepared better and if pant and bumrah plus one of the young gen bowlers been available then yes we would have won the final tbf.
