Australia were the real bazballers much before T20 cricket in early 2000s. They didn't have to play ugly cricket with scoops, reverse scoops, reverse sweeps, etc. Used to make 350 a day scores when others would struggle for 250.

Great post mate.

Mo injured. Anderson injured.  Root part timer. Stokes was not fit enough to bowl so many overs upfront. Basically they had Robinson/Barbie to use. Stokes should have been wise enough to set a bigger total

If Smith and labuschagne start scoring 100s and 50s it is curtains for england.

Can't see anything other than a 3-0 or 4-0.

England realistic chances of winning are lesser if they continue with this inane tactics.

Ajaz Patel picked 10-fers. We can deny as much as we want but Indian wickets are the least sporting, heavily inclined towards spinners.

They should produce a good batting wicket with assistance for spinners on day 4 and day 5. Adding to this, if they can put a tinge of grass on Day 1 for the pacers, the matches will be really sporting and well balanced for every one. It shouldn't be that Joe Root is picking 5-fer and Anderson/Broad barely bowling 5-6 overs for no wickets.

Daren Sammy has 7fer in England. Ajaz is still a good bowler who did well in UAE too.

He's picked one 10fer. Still India scored 300+ and won as he couldn't replicate. And NZ bats werent as good as Mayank v spin.

If they leave grass it becomes flat after one session in India. That only produces boring draws unless team collapse in first session.Otherwise boring draws

Anderson/Broad werent simply good enough in India. As said earlier, Indian pacers do well and even O/S pacers like Southee,Gillespie,Steyn have done well

Stokes bowled Barbie to ground. He was on his haunches several times. Anderson is already playing like legends league. Robinson is more a support bowler rather than main strike bowler. Stokes hardly bowls. Moeen hardly played test sin recent times. Root is a part timer. This attack is unsustainable for 5 test series. But they have a good batting unit to bat the opposition out which is what they should have done instead of pushing the bodies of old bowlers to limit.

In terms of fitness Aussies have a fitter squad. They can drop Boland or Hazlewood and play Neser or Starc.

Aussies have better team overall and their bowling is miles better. It is their series to lose.

Unless Clouderson and Broad 8/15 type matches occurs they should win this series in a canter.

Still a long way to go.  But i think Aus will go on to win the next WTC as well.  Once they gain confidence, they become unstoppable especially on ICC tournaments/big occassions.

I still can't believe we beat Australia 4 times in a row with a sh***y batting line up lol

Bazball in a way put more stress on these bowlers. What happens is they score so quickly. Bowlers hardly get any rest between innings. They come back to bowl withint 50 or 60 overs. They get overloaded.
