Congratulations to ICFers.

Dravid+Rohit get a lot of blame here but lets give credit to sir Dravid.  

Discarding Chahal despite massive PR pressure, rewarding Kuldeep for his good run, getting the best out of KL and selecting Siraj(form) over Shami (name).

Rahul Dravid has very little say in team matters - even less than Shastri.  This is Rohit's team. If the team fails, it's completely on Rohit. And if they've done well, Rohit deserves all the credit too.

Axar if hadn't lost bowling form would have replaced him by now with improved batting. Chawal,Boobi and Dhawan all replaced by better performers.

 

Sundar is better potentially but guy is made of glass.

Yep. The World T20 squad was his. And during Asia Cup squad announcement, he made it clear that he had literally told Agarkar what he wanted. 

 

Kohli and Rohit don't want interventionist coaches.  And are pretty clear how they want the squad and combinations to be.

 

And even the players they want.

Throwing unsubstantiated accusations has become the Modus operandi of a whole host of groups. It’s picked up by members of the same cabal and amplified a thousand fold in their echo chambers. When unsuspecting folks log onto social media they see huge trends based on these targeted rumours. 
 

One should know what to ignore to keep one’s sanity. The harsh reality of our times.

Perhaps Samson and Kishan should have been given a try. 

cant decide between Samson and SKY. SKY has the higher ceiling (pun unintended) but if both are in poor form Samsons low isn’t as bad as SKY’s.

We don't need 2 spin all-rounders in any squad of 15.

 

Pace wins you key phases and tournaments. 

 

It is always, and I mean ALWAYs, better to err on the side of picking extra pacers than an extra spinner. 

We need one more wicket taking spinner like Kuldeep. We cannot afford mediocre spinners for their limited batting ability.

And the fast bowlers were all more threatening than even the 2nd best spinner in the world - Kuldeep despite playing on spinning tracks.  I hope captain Rohit and senior cricketer Kohli saw that. But since they didn't learn from CT 2017 and 2019 World Cup, you have to question their cricketing IQ.
