Sooda Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 What did you think of it. Getting stick on social media . My first reaction was, what an idiot. But that was a terrible ball and he was right to go for it. The criticism he is getting is the reason why we can never play Bazball style cricket Vijy 1
Number Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 That ball was there to be hit. But it swung very late so got the edge.
LehraDo Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Not to be hot when chasing low scores. Patience in the first 4 overs

cowboysfan Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 all teams know he cant help himself,it was a trap and he fell for it.
Frustrated Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Ball was not the best. Terrible execution by kishan considering that he was aware it was only the 1st over and the new ball would swing a bit. Not surprising that it took the outside edge. He could hv left it if he was not confident. Target was only 200. Lord and Vijy 1 1
Nikhil_cric Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Wide line has troubled him in the past . Thought he had gotten past that? Perhaps not.
Suhaan Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 That was there to be left,a Sehwagi temptation to width raki05 1
mikeypbadana86 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 rash shot with out footwork. An early wicket always can lead to collapse, could been cautious considering the target was 200
Bigg Brother Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Iyer's shot worse than that. 2/2 and top order batter should not even think of playing like that.....Taking pressure off is different thing but that was deplorable.. Vijy and raki05 2
SRT100 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Its fine, he tried being aggressive and it failed. I would rather this dismissal than tuk tuk then get out. He will learn from this experience. raki05 and Frustrated 2
adi B Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Shouldn't have gone for the shot ,first you need to access the pitch/conditions and give yourself at least a couple of overs as a sighter. But we shouldn't make a big deal of this ,he is primarily an attacking batsman who goes for his shots regardless of the situation
Adamant Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 He will be helpful only against low quality bowling attacks. So, will probably make a century vs Afg, can do well vs Eng and Ned too. Don't expect much against better teams especially on tough pitchea Vijy 1
Sean Bradley Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Full marks on the intent, but execution was terrible. Should have waited for a few balls and get the hang of pitch. raki05 1
MediumPacer Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 If he tuk tuks then also there will be complains,if he plays shots then you expect such things. Next time be careful for the first 2-3 overs when it's swinging but after that someone should attack the bowlers.

raki05 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 I think both Kishan and iyer will learn from it, kishan intent was right as he was first up. But iyer shot was really horrid and i think he preempted short ball and then eventually checked his shot.
