javier26
Jos Buttler on Dharamsala outfield: The outfield is not as good as it should be. Being told not to dive and all that... not what you want to be doing as a team but it's the same for both sides..we won't use that as an excuse. Just need to be careful. #CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/FKOiYCOyqR — Ayan (@ayan_acharya13) October 9, 2023 Edited October 9, 2023 by javier26 Link to comment

Zero_Unit
even my backyard has more green and healthy grass than this field. This is so shameful ... not to mention this is a WC field. Stupid BCCI nitinbwj, vivek04, sandeep and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Absolutely pathetic. BCCI needs to be called out by all the media. We support India. Not this corrupt BCCI. Bigg Brother, Gollum, dilliboy and 4 others 3 4 Link to comment
figo6762
How did ICC even approve this … don’t think this will get fixed in time … again poor planning , fixtures and venues announced so late , grounds did not have time to prepare .. Norman and Gollum 2 Link to comment
Lone Wolf
India or BCCI wasn't that economically strong back in 2011... But damn respect increases for that administration. Corruption must have gone to some other new level. Gollum and Bigg Brother 2 Link to comment

I heard India is travelling all over the country just to play few matches. Edited October 9, 2023 by vvvslaxman Gollum, Norman, Lone Wolf and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
sandeep
Clear case of corruption and mismanagement. Not enough that the HCA gets to host so many WC games - they can't even be bothered to keep the grounds safe for players? More importantly, where's the ICC review committee - nobody did an inspection of this? This is unacceptable levels of incompetency. And not for the first time with this WC - from facilities to schedules to tickets - utter shitshow. Indian tourism industry has literally lost hundreds of millions of dollars because the BCCI could not be bothered with releasing the schedule until the last *ing second. So many cricket fans would have come to attend in person if they had the chance to plan. Where is the accountability? cricspirit, LordPrabhzy, Gollum and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment

Apparently ICC ground inspector did raise some concerns but was told it will all be okay till match starts. Doubt they did follow up inspection. Gollum 1 Link to comment
Gollum
This **** show makes CWG 2010 look like the best organized event of all time. Heads must roll now. England and Bangladesh should refuse to take the field tomorrow and force a shift in venue. This is unacceptable even for a low level tournament, never mind a WC. kubrickian
For some reason, BCCI seems really interested in promoting this venue. I get the backdrop is stunning but you can see that the facilities are not world class, at least not good enough for World Cup games. Norman and cricspirit 2 Link to comment

vice
Imagine being told not to dive in a sporting Word Cup. Oh wait, that's what Jos Butler is saying. You can't make this sh*t up This comes out across really poor. None of the players calling it out like they should. There's too much scrutiny now on the outfield. Wonder what sort of drastic emergency patchup work they can do on the outfield . India / NZ play here as well Norman and Lord 2 Link to comment
Tillu
There is no incentive to work if you are getting loads of money without even trying. For a country like India seeped in rampant corruption there should be two boards running cricket in India to provide the necessary checks and balances. Norman 1 Link to comment

Some events are too big to effect by it and if not need to be called out. Link to comment
