Iyer also looks overhyped and a worse player of short ball than even Imam. With Pandya injured, this batting unit is over reliant on Kohli and Rohit, the latter of whom has been a midget in KOs for 15 years now. Is this another heartbreak in KO loading?

I don't know about others, just have faith in Kuldeep, he is capable of doing a Warne 1999 and then we don't need to rely on batters much. Siraj, Pandya also look like big match players.

Every team has issues. 

 

It's not a freaking video game where everything is going to be perfect.

 

This Indian team has displayed many more strengths than weaknesses.

Must have been waiting this entire WC to make comments but the performances of the India and Pakistan team just hasn't given him the opportunity lol.

Yup.

 

2013-19 never developed a MO. Top order coasted through 2019 WC and 2017 CT and when trouble happened, completely fell apart. Same thing happened in 2013 CT but we somehow saved the final.

 

Dhoni-Yuvraj-Raina were essential in the 2011 KOs.

 

Do your best and after that what happens in KOs, happens.

I don't believe in such things. Top order had all the practice in league phase 2019 but we were 5-3 in semis anyway. Its middle order who put some respectable fight.

Another embarassing group stage elimination loading for Pakistan. Pak could not qualify to the SF in 2015WC, 2019WC and the embarassing trend continues for the 3rd consecutive WC.  But shameless Pak trolls continue to remain obsessed with Ind (who hv been unbeaten in this WC so far) rather than thinking about their own Minnow level team.

more like lower middle order tbh - jadeja/dhoni who were veterans. if pandya/pant had more experience then they would have won the match.

Good reality check for India. Remember, this is the 1st time India is playing batting first on a worn out Lucknow pitch. Kohli was looking okay with good strokes until he tried to hit his way through. This will help him visualize or prepare for an early wicket scenario in knock out.

 

Iyyer is a weak link. Gill too is not contributing. So team management needs to address both the issues.

Dhoni needed to man up and come up the order. His whole job was to prevent collapses.
