BCCI needs more money..they are not planning to improve strike rates here  they just need more money before they ruin Indian cricket..who cares about developing and grooming players..

More like G League, Minor league, assuming this was last open auction. Now IPL teams will have their own development programs.

 

Most of the legacy IPL teams were un-happy with auctions and not able to play their Ind player in other overseas franchises team.Nearly every team has a global operations now. They are looking to draft players on their own and make money with trading and this could also give BCCI an opportunity to add new teams and owners and with their own development and trading plans they would not ask for an open big auctions again.

Instead of 10 overs game, they should have Baby overs of 3 balls in 20 over format. That way time for more Ads revenue, more timeouts and we can get post retirement bowlers into the game.

 

Just imagine Nehra and Munaf Patel steaming in to bowl 3 balls with full energy!!
