God knows why he isnt playing Tyagi isn't that accurate, needs few deliveries to get used to a line But that is enough to totally derail your bowling plans in t20s Starts too wide at short or short of good length, ample opportunity for batsman to pounce on He has a terrific Yorker, just needs to cut down on loose deliveries and the unnecessary wide deliveries he serves in beginning of his spell and come close to his bowling end stumps Edited April 2, 2024 by Suhaan singhvivek141, Mosher and express bowling 3

I think his action may not allow him to cross that..it's a smooth, relatable action which will make him much more accurate than Shoaib in the long run but that sling type action of Shoaib is what allowed him to generate those extra KPHs of pace. Anyways he should concentrate on staying fit and bowling express rather than breaking any pace records
raki05 Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Only thing which Mayank should try is a touvh fuller or Yorker. Kind of pace which he has will get him more wkts. Mosher and express bowling 2

But he gets his line right he will be hard to get by.

Mayank generates natural pace...I don't think that's on his mind. Tyagi is the one who is mad on bowling fast, he may probably stretch himself even more to clock 161 if he keep getting backed. Maybe on a hypothetical day if we decide to play Umran, Mayank & Tyagi together. All 3 might try to outbowl each other and try to clock 160+kph. tweaker, Mosher, express bowling and 2 others 5

Very rightly said,on seaming wickets and he does have seam movement if he pitches full he will certainly get more wickets especially in longer formats or when the ball is fairly new express bowling, Mosher and raki05 3

I would rather have him staying fit and winning games bowling 157 k than getting injured trying to bowl 161 k. Mosher 1
Lord Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 LSG should qualify easily now. Then he should get some rest to be fresh for WT20
Sgattick10 Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) Watched tonight's match only for Mayank Yadav. What a breath of fresh air and so exciting to watch. Hope he gets picked for the T20 WC. Edited April 2, 2024 by Sgattick10 Mosher and express bowling 2

If fitness holds, he can easily be next Bumrah. Hard to quantify it but you know a thinking bowler. Siraj for all his skills is dumb as anything. A faster bumrah? express bowling 1

I like his bouncer too, he can use it as a weapon in test matches.Only check box he needs to tick is his ability to bowl 20 overs.Even if he can bowl 15 overs in a day I will take it . How he can bounce back from that long day is what remains to be seen. But I don't want to waste one year of this guy playing Ranji, he is too good to be playing in Ranji. express bowling Posted April 2, 2024 Author Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) Mayank is a very likeable lad in his interviews. Calm, confident and smiling. Intelligent eyes. Talks a lot of sense. If he can get that ball to deviate a bit at that pace from a good length/ fuller length often , he will be a big wicket taker . Already taking most wickets with rising shortish stuff at the body. Add to it ,now they need to watch out for length/fuller length balls on wicket to avoid bowled /LBW . This will make batsmen even more late in playing the shortish ball esp. to right handers. If he can do that , it will set him apart among the young quickies even at international level. Next test for him- to watch his strategy against good players who will come towards the off stump to use his pace to get boundaries on on side . Hope he has worked that out too. VERY encouraging stuff !! raki05, Mosher and express bowling 3

VERY encouraging stuff !! Very true. Another thing is that Mayank is able to bowl a significant percentage of his deliveries with the seam pointing towards the slips. And this means he will get the ball to move away when the conditions are in favour. raki05, tapandrun and Mosher 1 2
