So was Zaheers so was Shamis. There are only few guys that didn't suffer major injuries most of their career. Agarkar and ishant are case in point. Bumrah too didn't suffer any major injury despite that action. Chaos 1

But he did work on his fitiness. He was a skinny dude when he started. Now he has much stronger upper body Chaos, raki05 and Lord 2 1

tapandrun Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 abdominal soreness-- do not think this is major injury, soreness can happen any with multiple reason to anyone. But the way LSG took him off the field suggest that they were aware of his discomfort express bowling, raki05 and Vijy 1 2

Nikhil_cric Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 (edited) Mayank tends to go beyond the perpendicular while bowling.(10-11 o clock). Not sure how many degrees of lateral flexion is involved. That can't be good for him. Needs to work on bowling arm coming from 1 o clock maybe Edited April 12, 2024 by Nikhil_cric

He has been out twice for a long long time because of back injuries and once because of abdominal strain. There was also a thumb fracture but that was just unlucky

This kind of injury is not even considered an injury, unless something serious is there--looks like media/people are hell bent to prove that he is injury prone in some kind. He bowled 150+ kmph in 2 matches and then dropped to ~140s that why people noticed that something is wrong for any other bowlers they would have done their quota and it would be business as usual, take rest from nets and no noise and commentators would be telling they are trying slower ones pitch is grippy Edited April 13, 2024 by tapandrun express bowling 1

Strain, then should consider him out of IPL and it would be better he rest -recovers and take his time till fully fit, play some club games before returning into any kind of prof. cricket
