Kohli had a good IPL, especially the second half so there shouldn't be any doubts on his position, also the pitches here arent made for 200+ scores, so he fits well.

Its just that he is trying to take an attacking approach and is failing, last night against Bangladesh he was 37(27) , he could have easily gone on to make 80 odd of 50 balls with his regular approach but he tried charging and lost his wkt. 

Not just him, but the whole team is taking this mindless (Intent) approach which can cost us, if he scored an 80 odd yesterday he would have been relaxed for the next big game but he didnt do that.

I hope that if he is taking this approach then he shouldn't give up now, just go with it for this whole world t20. Also in normal chases he should take his regular approach.

Tomorrow we are definitely beating Australia, so Aussies will be out, this is our best chance at a t20 world cup.

Rohit won't succeed down the order, pp is his best hope where he can hoick some big hits without need of running between the wickets.

 

Both Kohli n Rohit shouldn't be at crease at same time, Rohit is stay at crease n hit...Kohli relies more on running between the wickets. A mixup can happen anytime in a knockout game.

 

Kohli's style of play suits better with Pandya, Surya and Jadeja who run quick between the wickets. Pant, Rohit n Dube rely on power shots and aren't so good in rotating strike.

I think Kohli has gotten better at six hitting, I saw that in Ipl and now last night he hit 3 sixes in a knock of 37, as of now his lack of performances hasn’t cost us and also there’s no one else who actually has done well.

 

I think he will do well in the remaining matches, he might have gained some confidence after hitting those 3 sixes.

 

 

Rohit hits mostly out of the ground so I dont get why he can’t succeed as a middle order bat.

 

Jaiswal should play , even if he is not allowed to open he is stilp better than whatever Jadeja offers to us.

Dube is trash.   But one thing is: He is a big powerful guy (kind of stud) and is able to hit it big. Ball landing on 2nd or 3rd tier more often.    (Unlike Sadagopan Ramesh)   Probably that's what must hv impressed our kaptaan & TM.

I think it is wrong to even say that... Tilak is like 20% similar to Yuvi & Dube is about 5%...and even that's a stretch..as he has no off side game.

Only Abhishek is closest to Yuvi's bat flow and flourish and that skill set.  He just lacks freakish brute power that Yuvi had.

Sadagopan Ramesh was a much better test batsman than Yuvi. Watch the 1999 Pak tests.
