Rift between Rohit & Shubman Gill ?

Few reports coming out that Gill was released from the squad due to disciplinary reasons. He was not with the team during his time in the US.

Also Shubman has unfollowed Rohit on instagram.

Gill doesn't hv the power game reqd for t20.    Should not be anywhere near the t20 side.  (He is ok for odi & tests) Jaiswal should be IN.   Chokli should bat at no.3 (or else should not play at all).   Dube must be dropped.     I know I m hoping against hope though.

He was okay in 2024. But after test series he became conservative again. He has issue withi adapting to different formats. In a way Jaiswal also regressed right after Test series.  I rather prefer him d oing well in Tests. We can always have someone like Abhishek for T20s.

Gill is surely Better option than Mota Rohit and Chokli on these slow tracks... At least he hits sixes vs spin.

These two are chokers of highest order.

Agree.   But we all know Kaptaan can't be dropped.  So is his retirement partner Chokli.

Gill has everything needed for t20s also. Adapting from tests to t20s is not an easy transition.He was playing for his Indian career against England in test series.He came out with flying colors.

 

He is far better than guys like Abhishek.

Yes of course the same stat padding approach and useless 50s and averages is what we need. Why would we ever need guys like Abhishek who won matches when we can worship not iut and averages

 

When even minnows are moving to impact players we are still stuck in 2010 where good technique long innings and useless 50s and averages are worshipped 

 

Prepare for another 50 years of no cups. 

 

Good to know you have found another guy to replace Kohli so you can worship personal stats and averages.

Yeah but how else can they waste balls and take singles and score useless 50s and averages in t20s? Who needs impact and 6 hitting? We need test batsmen who can adapt to t20s by playing anchor roles.

Since when did Abhishek become impact player??You have found one useless word  stat padding  and keep using it for every argument. It is getting old.

Everybody wants to be a super star, people cry about sharma and kohli which is understandable, but the problem is not them its the super star culture, which ipl feeds on.

Sounds to me more like Gill was sent home because Jaiswal is already their as back up opener. Strong indication that he will sit out in the super 8s as well. Rest is just based on baseless speculation from a random tweet.

Gill is exactly like the same safe, stat padding batsmen who cannot hit big much. Abhishek made an immense impact on his first season of play. 

 

If players like Kohli can play so many IPL and World cups without winning, Abhishek doesnt need to win cups on his first try, its enough he played crucial roles in important wins for his team.

If Abhishek didn't have any "impact" in the recent SMA and IPL, then the likes of Kohli and Rohit have never had any impact at all. Scoring 12 ball 30s and sub-20 ball 50s is the definition of impact.

Scoring 890 runs and winning IPL player of tournament is also called impact.

 

Sorry I don't rate likes of Abhishek.Scoring  in some odd innings does not make one a great player. Gill has ability to become a great player.

 

 

I will chose guy like Gill over  Abhishek anyday.
