Has to be in place of Siraj as Arshdeep can take wkts upfront, can bowl yorkers, is a better fielder, and is a much better batsman than Siraj

Barbados is a batting wicket and doesn't necessarily favour spinners. 

 

Slower balls from quicks are effective, though. 

 

Playing 3 quicks + Hardik is alright at Barbados, Antigua and maybe St. Lucia type wickets.

 

Real question is what spinners "should" we play and do we really need a 6th bowler ?

He was part of that High performance list... But BCCI will prefer Avesh and Arshdeep.

Only 2 young Pacer slots are left and GG will expedite Harshit Rana and there is obviously Mayank.

Banglas usually don't play wrist spin that well... How much bounce has been seen this time in Antigua? 

I think it has been spin friendly to an extent?

Only 200+ total so far has been seen in Barbados and St. lucia.

Both.  Antigua has a lot more bounce than most surfaces and it has also spun a lot. 

 

Guyana has actually spun the least according to a graphic they showed. 

 

But it's a slow wicket with humungous boundaries(86 m to midwicket) so spinners can bowl with some protection

We should play Kuldeep in place of Siraj against Aussies, Eng and WI on any pitch. Those beasts are gonna eat Siraj alive, who performs best against likes of SL, and B'desh. Kuldeep is needed to keep them in check and hopefully win the match for us.

No point in inducting youngsters, when they are bound to make way for 35+ yr oldies as soon as the next ICC tournament arrives.   Rinse & Repeat

Yeah thats fine but I still think the extra batter would be useful than having 3 spinners.  

 

Even West Indies only played 4 bowlers + Russell the other day against Afghans.

Lets see if Mayank gets picked for worthwhile tours like Aus, Eng, NZ.

 

Hate to see him wasted on tours like SL and Zim. And waste him they will,  coming up with bizarre reasons not to play him say at Perth.
