also that lodu yuvi lost us a wc single handedly with one of the worst innings of all time to play in wcs.

Your hero Dhoni batted 6(10)* in the 2007 Final against Pakistan.

yep last match is what made it possible for aussies to get kicked out cuz india gave afg lifeline and they took it. U think ur retarded gujjus in the team would win again against aus? Pathetic idiots cant even score run a ball…or clear thirty meter line… what the efff is that fraud guuju doing in the team..every tom dick n kenya hits em for sixes. Cant bat or bowl.. now he drops sitters… morons

And you wonder why you have medical issues. You can't discuss the topics at hand and need to mindlessly bring other stuff in which is irrelevant.

I've already stated why above.  He scored 13 off 8 against Lee and Johnson and smashed the rest for 57 off 22.   That attack was nowhere near the quality of the attack Rohit scored against imo

Bowling attack is just one thing. Other things you mentioned in the original post supports yuvis knock a lot more than it does rohits.

I rate this attack of Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Zampa much higher than Bracken, Stuart Clark etc. I don't even remember who their spinner was

That was tougher pitch and more importantly was a semi. Bracken was damn good white ball bowler. As was Lee

Our so called  hero Gambhir was batting under 100 SR in that 2007 semifinal, he was bailed out by others mainly Yuvi  just like he was bailed out by bowlers and Rohit in that finals where he played 18 overs and  took innings no where.

Didn't Dhoni mentioned that it was a strategy for the WC to not lose many wickets in the first 6 overs and then attack ?

Anyway, Gambhir wasn't a T20 player by any means. He was more like Shikhar Dhawan who can score quickly, but can't go above a certain threshold of SR. That's why he was partnered with Sehwag & Yusuf in the T20 WC who were supposed to go after the bowling from ball 1.

That was tough team. How come posters are even comparing that innings. Yuvi came around 50 odd for 2 in 9 overs. Rohit had luxury to play PP and also it was semifinal.

Only one led to a trophy. In my mind the best knock ever was Rohit Sharma s 30 odd in final. Gambhir kept hold of one end but without that quickfire innings we would have lost the match. Now bring the occasion, a 20 year old, playing his 5th match for India, in a world cup final, against Pakistan, the whole world watching, and he doesnt show any nerves and calmly plays that innings..

Pressure comes from expectations. No one expected young Rohit to do anything nor he would have been blamed for failing. That is why I always want young team in T20s atleast

When you think of Aussie greats in any format , the likes of Bracken and Stuart Clark don't really register.  Like I already said, Yuvraj took down the other bowlers but didn't really take down Lee and Johnson

This Aussie pace attack will go down as one of their best attacks . Not to mention Zampa is probably their best white ball spinner since Warne.

That Durban pitch required a specialist spinner and the Aussies didn't even have one.

Anyway, let's agree to disagree on this .

In that regard how do you rate Virat Kohli's innings in WT20 2014 final where he played till Final over and took innings to nowhere? Similar kind of innings i guess. Gambhir 75(54) and Kohli 77(58).

Kohli has played such an innings  in 2022 WC against Pak, when he destroyed Haris Rauf in a classic chase.

Kohli has declined more than Rohit. He was never the six hitter like Rohit. Rohit has the eye, the timing, and the belly power over Kohli. Kohli is more of a hard worker who displays the best of his game. Not an exact comparison but Rohit and Kohli are comparable to Tendulkar and Dravid respectively even though all four mentioned are way different in aspects of batting. What I'm saying is Rohit is the natural tailunt and who relied on tailunt more than Kohli who is constantly working on batting. It doesn't mean that Rohit doesn't practice and Kohli doesn't have talent. I'm just saying these aspects of their careers shine through the most.

Kohli is not the six hitter needed in today's game. If you compare Head and Maxwell, Kohli dwarfs in the x factor. Rohit still has it. I don't know for how long though. Interesting to note is Maxi was on leave throughout the IPL played a stupid shot immediately in the first few balls in the playoffs but that day against India, he was back to his best. Never trust these aussies.

Did that 2007 team become old  in 2009 , when did not even sniff semifinal spot.

My point was more about morons who think it was a winning knock and Kohli's knock as losing knock.

Bowlers defended one and failed in another.

Plus Gambhir had Rohit's knock to compliment  where as Kohli's knock was compliment by Yuvi's innings.

Half the team was different. And expectations were more after 2007
