That mindset will come to the athletes when we have won 20-40 medals.  Until then,  they ought to be happy with whatever . In one of the interviews, Manu said she was sad she missed out winning silver, but happy with bronze for now. She looks forward to win more next time. Who knows.

They are massively weighed down by history of not winning much and expectations of being the first ones to do so. Once they start winning regularly the performances will come and medals will improve, I have no doubts about that. It won’t happen in 2028 but it will.

Prannoy didn't try his best on purpose to not tire Lakshya. Prannoy took one for team india.

Is this true?

But she shot much better in those competitions too. She is unable to do here. Nothing to do with opponents.

She shot better because the pressure wasn't there knowing worlds best arent competing with her so easier for her to win. here she knows that the worlds best are there and she has no chance so choked.

It's the biggest prize in Badminton at a team level. World championship and Olympics are the most prestigious in singles.

Sat-chi have won some big tournaments these past 2 years tbh including Asian games gold which is as hard as this one IMO, just couldn't bring it together here.

Really sucks man. This was their peak, golden chance missed.

We may have some singles players coming through but will be difficult to have a doubles pair of that quality in future.

They can have one more shot definitely but not sure if the form will remain the same. They were smashing it in the last 2 years.

To some people all hate doesnt count unless its openly against Indians and not just Indians but just Hindus. Some people have no empathy for others, the Social media generation is giving rise to a bunch of proud sociopaths who are proud because they are "anti-woke", which is code word for being hateful bigots who are racist, sexist, bigoted against LGBT and anyone who is different in anyway

Do you have sympathy for this male boxer beating the crap out of a female boxer so much that she forfeited the match yesterday in Paris Olympics event

Terrible loss for them.  They won the Asian Games gold which is as hard as Olympic one.  This will stung for a while
