He was making stupid mistakes on regular shots he was not making before. Even in service. So many unforced errors on not even great shots. That is indeed a choke.

kabaddi, kho-ko, gilli danda need to be included. At least 2-3 medals.

Sports like Golf, Sailing, F1 racing etc. are a preserve of the rich and affluent. Average folks don't have resources to even play these sports, forget about competing and winning medals.

 

We need to focus on sports which are readily available  to the masses. Also, need to make better use of our resources. E.g. we can ask Indian army to focus on shooting and probably running/athletics and Boxing as well since folks there'll have access to these sports as part of their day to day jobs. Plus army is way less corrupt than our regular sports bodies.

 

And high time our business community lent a hand as well. Likes of Ambanis and Tatas can support certain sports & academies. Say Ambani academy of archery, or Tata school of wresting etc. Relying on our corrupt politicians & sporting bodies, which is an extension of politicians, is not gonna change much.

This is turning into a disaster, we have regressed from last time. I don't have much hope for more than 1 or 2. It's either 5 bronze or 1 silver and 4 bronze.

He is forced to do something to stop the momentum. Its like how Australia struggled against India in the 2011 QF when Raina-Yuvraj started going for it. You can say Brett Lee was bowling half volleys but they were forced to try bowling yorkers because of the attacking batsmen. Its not a choke.

Shooting have been an overall success in this Olympics. Its incredibly hard to qualify for final in Shooting than in other sports.

Same old. The opponents trolled him big time. He was 18-13 in first game and 7-0 up in the second game against axelson..same here. He just gives up once the opponent starts the comeback. He needs to show more intensity and energy. Looks tired and deflated after the first

Axelsen is just toying around with the world champion. His physique is such a big advantage, all these guys look like dwarfs in front him.

He was really awesome man.. his game against Christie #3 in the world was outstanding as were his following games. He was leading even in the games he lost. Not sure what happened to him midway. He is def not overhyped. He is a world chmampionship bronze medalist

Lakshya can come back in next Olympic- with more experience, more stronger physically and mentally.
