Ukrainian went after her in the last 60 seconds. She did very very well to concede fewer points and maintained the early lead

Ukrainian is so annoying lol.

Yes but almost gave away the early lead advantage in the last 60 seconds. She had to secure 2 more points and defended bravely. The Ukrainian tried her best

No ... if she loses semi - she has to beat the winner of the wrestlers who lost to her semi-final opponent to win bronze.

Oh Man, Our miserable luck. She’s going to beat SFs and go for Gold!!

That Cuban lady who Vinesh will prob fight is extremely fast! Finishes the match in just the first half... Hopefully she is a lightweight for Vinesh

yes because its a contact sport no bronze medal match

Two bronze medals in wrestling.

But system is different.

Whoever the finalists have beaten en route to finals, those beaten athletes fight for bronze. The losing R16 girl will play losing QF girl. Winner of that will play losing SF girl. Whoever wins that gets bronze. One bronze on each half of the draw.

That is why if you lose in wretsling, better lose to a beast who goes all the way to the final. Then you'll get extra shot at medal, that's how Sushil got his bronze in 2008, Yogeshwar in 2012, Sakshi in 2016, Bajrang in 2021.

Vinesh semifinal opponent is a Cuban.. won her QF 10-0 in 3 min....

Looks stronger than Vinesh but believe our girl is quite experienced enough to make right strategy for her.

She just had to defend and was confident of doing so. She was very strategic. Took the challenge as a chance to take a breather of 30 secs in between to frustrate the Ukrainian. Very well played.

She is very light and fast - but Vinesh comes from a heavier class so Vinesh has the advantage. It will be difficult for the Cuban to throw Vinesh around that way.
