Why go through all the trouble? Just play one match between 2 loser SFs and be done with 1 bronze, like all other sport? Seems over complicated

40 to 50 rank for a poor country is quite good. Sure we could be top 20 with more funding but be realistic. Our country is corrupt and meritocracy is not respected for selections. So fix they first then medals will come. 

 

Also neeraj should be mental strength coach.

The idea is, if someone is unlucky to be pitted against the eventual champion, they should get another chance, maybe they are better than the other semi finalist but got unlucky with meeting top guy beforehand.

No. This SB will go in his record but the Finals start clean. Even a throw of 87m can be the winning throw if no one exceeds it.

They start over. First 3 throws to narrow down the top 6. Then the throwing order keeps changing based on the position of the top 6.

 

The top 6 get 3 more throws. The best throw wins  across all 6 throws. Last time Neeraj's second throw won him gold.

Yes, Neeraj usually starts very well and does it in first couple of throws itself.

Ok . I got confused thought his second attempt that won him gold in Tokyo was from qualifying round. Nobody else beat his second attempt in final and he got the gold!
