Next ODI WC is in SA where we are likely to see tennis ball bounce.  Iyer won't last 10 balls against top teams.

SA loi pitches are mostly very flat now,and in ICC events pitches are quite flat and are not extremes (seaming )

But problem with Iyer is ,he is below to belowest average against bounce

Even Ganguly who had problems against short pitched deliveries had a terrific record in SA

I have not seen a badder batsmen than him against those deliveries

SA wickets are still pretty tough at times, depending on where they play.

Joburg is usually flat... Watched some of that SA v Aus ODI series before WC where Klassen was on a rampage

Durban Joburg CT look pristine for batting... Ultra fast outfields.

Paarl Benoni Bloem Poestchfroom are tougher

Yeah that's what I meant.  Joburg is a tough Test wicket with lateral movement and uneven bounce.

But in ODIs(post 2001) , it has been much  much more consistent and allows  to score rapidly.

Those latter 4 venues are wgre 300 is still a huge score

In a way good for Harshit as he will at least play Duleep Trophy games rather than sitting on Bench.

Exactly, it might inspire him to be better version of what he already is.
Ban series is of 2 tests, where I doubt pacers will be needed much. Australia series is the real prize where you have to play 3 to 4 quicks.

There is a Shadow A tour as well in November before Aus Test series

Good decision to play Bumrah. No need to wrap him up in cotton for his entire career. Guy hasnt event played much test or odis.

IF he keeps resting, he will end with less than 220 wickets in career.

He doest play bilateral LOIs anyway. He has to play TESTS for India.

Also, it is a test series. Not gully cricket. We need to win everything in front of us

Yes,once he reaches his quota he hibernates

Infact they should even try to accommodate Jurel

I'm worried about even Gill,he's actually become 'the other kela'

He already turn into kl. 2.0
