I like Mayank, the reason being he is not another Yadav or Aaron.

 

He bowls 90mph+ and still is accurate, I have no demands from him to bowl 150+, bowling above 90mph with that height and bounce will be enough to dismantle batsman if he maintains his line and length.

 

 

Travelling reserves won’t really play though, will they?

That's why I'm not happy with these "reserves" thing. Bowlers are missing match practice.

Last time around Siraj , Natarajan , Thakur , Saini were all inexperienced but we played them in OZ conditions anyway. 

 

I don't think TM cares about the experience part.   

 

It's just about ensuring that they have the skills - 135+ pace/accuracy -   needed for OZ conditions and if they have the fitness/endurance to execute it for multiple spells

I expect them to play A-team tests and Ranji. Atleast 2 matches each before BGT. 

 

And if we win the first 2 tests vs NZ then they may play Harshit in thd 3rd test.

Harshit more likely to play in BGT,he is the kind of hit the deck of bowler who generally succeed on harder pitches in Australia.

Not sure if we have time, coz just after NZ series we will travel to SA for the T20 series.
Third test against NZ will end on 5th Nov, then from 8th Nov to 15th Nov we will in SA for 4 T20's.
From 22nd Nov BGT kicks off.

I don't want Mukesh, but I want Harshit and co to play some games and get match practice.

It was a good opportunity to include next chosen opener after Rohit retires (not too far)

 

Also hope Bumrah is not permanent captain after Rohit. Will reduce his years in cricket.
