Possible 1st Test Line Up Vs Australia at Perth

Playing on bouncy pitches like Perth, Gabba, MCG is all about how well you can leave the ball. You can trust the bounce.  There, you don't get many lbw or bowled dismissals unless it's very full. So play close to the body and don't fish outside off.  And this is the reason our batsmen used to struggle. In India, you have the habit of playing.

That's why Cummins type bowlers are tough to handle there. They are always at that top of off stump, making you play at it.

Siraj and Akashdeep should try to emulate him.

Cummins bowls bodyline, hard to leave on most Australian pitches

I would rather go with team suited to the conditions

1. KL Rahul

2. Jaiswal

3. Gill

4. Kohli

5. Pant

6. Jurel

7. Jadeja

8. Prasidh

9. Siraj

10. Akashdeep

11. Bumrah

No point in playing 2 spinners or Nitish reddy who clearly is not ready for test match cricket

That tail is diabolical, we'll see 153-5 to 153 all-out again and again. Harshit should be in place of Siraj

Siraj is integral part of the first XI irrespective of conditions, according to very knowledgeable TM

TBH, playing five bowlers on pitches like Perth, current MCG, green Gabba is foolish. You play five bowlers on pitches where bowlers have to bowl a lot.  Where match is going to end in 3 days, no use playing 5 bowlers. 3 pacers and one spinner are enough.

Hardik Pandya is barely playing anything. Could have picked him for this series to play at Perth and MCG. Bat at 7-8 and bowl 8-10 overs a day like an ODI. Tests at these two venues would not go beyond 3.5 days. Even Adelaide.
