Agreeing to hybrid matches for tournaments in india is a defeat for india

If rumours are true and from now even tournaments played in india is going to be hybrid to allow Pak their matches, it's a loss for india.

 

Imagine India having to travel for their home games to other countries.

No principle involved here at all. The BCCI and Jay Shah are just trying to keep the money rolling.

If India were being driven by principle they would cut off all sporting ties and just refuse to play Pakistan in any sport and in any competition, forfeiting games if it came to that. The current way of continuing to keep playing them in ICC tournaments while making a song and dance every time is totally hypocritical.  India does not need any sporting relationships with Pakistan to survive and just biting the bullet once and for all is the only principled stand. All else is drama baji.

Makes no sense. Our stance is to harm pakistan, not reward them

 

Why should we forfeit game to reward pakistan and make it easy for them to win the cup? why should we harm our own cup chances by foreiting in tournaments?

If we do not want go to Pakistan (or if Pak does not want to come to India to do tit for tat), we can accommodate playing a team elsewhere. Indian make every ground their home ground. 

 

India can even go ahead and not play Pakistan at all, keeping it in a different group (only entertain Pak in a KO game).

 

If we take a stand, we accept the consequences and accommodate where applicable. It is a relatively pointless exercise to be hoping for all of the following: not wanting to play in Pak + wanting to play Pak in a group game + wanting Pak to play Ind in Ind.

Next WT20 2026 wala is co hosted by India and SL.

So Pak games will be in SL.

 

Asia Cup next year is in India & we will see if we opt for hybrid or not.

Can easily kick Pakistan out of the tournament imo and include SA/NZ Aus type team.

 

But nepo kid is a disappointment all around

With power comes responsibility. It is also about looking after the interest of all parties. 

 

IMO, having $$$ does not give anyone a right to “gundagiri”. In other fields, there are richer nations.

 

India is free to leave ICC. It is there because it earns revenues too by playing with other nations.

Saw enough ciyapa during last CWC.

 

Let Pakistani folks and Pakistani cricketers stay away. Dont give them visas. Let them know they are not needed.

Yeah. Happy with them not coming to India. So we can do hybrid or co-hosting solves the problem.
