No it's a consistent philosophy since the days of Warne. They play the main spinner even on surfaces heavily in favour of pace where they wouldn't have many overs to get through. India has a different philosophy - everyone wants to chop and change the whole side after every match.

Yes he did when Head was on 70 odd. To be fair, it was a skier and not the easiest catch but should have been taken. That said, the aussies have also been dropping a fair number of catches so maybe conditions are not great for catching in these grounds.

Rohit got one against WI at home, I think in 2011 or '12, probably his debut series. Ashwin was robbed there, because he too scored a 100 plus few 5fers.
