Likely not happening. Most probably they will drop an easy target like Akash Deep or even Washington. Pant has a big PR. However, it's still more believable than Duckrat and Ducrohit getting dropped.

I don't think he has a big enough PR to avoid the sack if they decide that's the way to go. Remember in the 2021 series Pant was dropped from the team and media was full of critiicism about his weight, attitude etc etc and Saha was the first choice keeper.  The same noises are bubbling up in the media again. Him getting back into the team after the 36 all out was more accident than design.

lot of difference in that Pant and now.

The fan base and media environment that influences selection hasn't changed. It demands heroes and villains after every event. The way Pant plays he supplies a candidate for one of these roles frequently and it wouldn't surprise me if he is made an example of. Even Kapil Dev was dropped to make an example of him when the blame for a loss was placed on his batting in the 1980s.

If it's true then good work TM.

 

Yes, Pant is the root cause of all evil that's happening in Australia..he is the one who has done black magic on Kohli & Rohit so that they don't make runs, he has cursed Akashdeep to be unlucky, to Siraj to stay brainless.

 

Even a 7 year old kid these days will know who is performing poorly, but this TM is on a different drug.

Yeah. The situation is crying out for  courageous decision making of this sort. Let's change the keeper-batsman and victory shall follow ! Maybe tinker with the bowling by adding Rana or Prasidh instead of Akashdeep and nothing can stop us then !

Atleast Jurel  is way better than pant and got solid technique . Yes agree , we need to drop never test batsman Rohit and awakard batsman Kohli . We should play our 3 prodigies Jaiswal , Gill and Sarfraz Khan together . Then add on utility player like Sai , Ryan parag , Rituraj , Kuldeep Tadav and many more

Reading that report in Indian express, it's clear it is all set up for Pant to be the fall guy. Also talking about the manager wanting to  bring in Pujara !

If the article is to be believed, the team is completely an internal mess. This will mean that results will continue to sharply drop further

Anyone else but Ro-Ko-Siraj will be dropped (and also Bumrah, but obviously he deserves to play) - look at the list of players dropped at various times: Gill, KL, Akashdeep, and now Pant. The double standards are obscene.

 

Selection of 4 pacers in SCG (as per article) + NKR also makes no sense. SCG is the one place where 2 spinners is acceptable.

 

We will end up with a big, fat loss.

haha..atleast they do it when they arent able to diagnose the issue..and vttamin pills are ok..

here they knwo the issue and even the fix..but still giving wrong treatment..pathetic
