I heard this seperate travel thing started around 2018 England tour. Kumble was gone by then I think.

Indian test team has hit rock bottom in last two test series like it did in the summer of 2011 losing 0-8 

 

1-6  is pretty close. 
 

All this is because of this. Nobody likes a team where it is going down the ranks

 

They should make all player play Ranji to be selected like they do for wrestlers before selecting for Olympics

Whether it be unleashing negative PR against rival captaincy candidates (Pant was prime target in BGT, Ashwin's so called displeasure in 2022 Eng tour which was rubbished by Sridhar).....in light of recent events, very clear to see who leaks dressing room info and plants lies about others. Rohit became captain and held on to it just because of his conniving nature, zero cricketing merit. Pulled similar stunts to unleash mass sympathy+hate campaign when he was removed from MI captaincy, now he is making me feel sorry for Hardik. 

 

Single worst thing to have happened to Indian cricket, absolute cancer, evil, which he showed once again in the Sydney test interview. Most ex-players (Sunny, Irfan, Manoj Tiwary) also seem to be on his payroll. GG will be the next fall guy, among players it will be Jadeja, then Pant/Bumrah/Kohli. Rohit will be last man standing unless we lose in group stage of CT. 

 

Never seen such a shameless, selfish, greedy mofo in Indian cricket since Dhoni.

Agree, my opinion of him as a person has turned for the worse the past few weeks. All that you read in the papers is only tip of the iceberg, the Hitman PR blitz is something you cannot escape even when you're commuting on the radio.

I somehow don't despise Kohli as much in comparison, he is guilty of many things but is also a soft target compared to Hitman because of his public life.

He is really turning out to be one of those characters from murder mysteries who was not even close to being a suspect but turned out to be the main villain.

It makes me re-evaluate some of the dressing room leaks and PR in last few years. Hit pieces against Ashwin's attitude in 2021-22 Eng tour which were all confirmed to be false (initially I thought it was Kohli PR), hit pieces against Kohli in that same series, then T20 WC in Dubai, all of them were to pave the path for Rohit to take over as captain. Everytime his captaincy is under threat or he has to make a career move, you see PR pieces against others, forget Pant/Bumrah (latter too is regularly lambasted by Rohit fans on SM), even a kid like Jaiswal wasn't spared, there was this whole story about him missing team bus and how he lacked discipline, captain being angry with him etc.......that was just after his MOTM performance in Perth, a victory where Rohit couldn't claim credit.

 

I also remember Rohit claiming credit for 2020-21 BGT win and the series draw in England when he had unfavorable results in the Rohit-Dravid era. He shamelessly claimed he won in Aus/Eng and Dravid was just nodding in the PC. Guy is a snake, Kohli may be equally ambitious but lacks the cunning of Rohit. And FWIW, Kohli earned his captaincy stripes, not Rohit, as much as the latter claims just to downplay the younger candidates

Not that I am in any way invested in it but the Pandya witch hunt after he joined MI also might have been partly orchestrated by his camp. Ofc he didn't endear himself anyway but it made him look like a victim who was wronged. ofc he ate it up and didn't make a fuss because he knows where his bread is buttered and doesn't want to piss off the Ambanis. Rumour was that he will leave and go to CSK but they still retained him.

He encouraged the witch hunt. Remember a leaked video in Eden Gardens where he was talking to KKR guys about how he built MI from scratch like a temple, and jabs at Pandya. 

 

When Hardik was getting jeered in all stadiums including Wankhede, no response from Rohit, imagine doing this to a team mate, a guy who later helped him win an ICC trophy. No other Indian cricketer would have done anything similar, even Kohli would have urged the crowd to behave or thrown his support behind the new captain. Pandya is still a dickhead, but doesn't absolve Rohit of his sins. 

 

His recent shenanigans in Syndey and PR blitz, dressing room stories (source being the same journalist friend of Rohit) only confirm my suspicions about him.

Dhoni and Rohit's real talents are wasted on the cricket field. Both should dive into politics like Sidhu/Azhar, sky is the limit there, already both have significant mass following which in India often translates to political popularity as well.
