Imad wasim came out of retirement for t20i wc and again retired. Only specialist spinner pak team is carrying is abrar (mystery spinner), not sure how Ind batters will handle him. Ind batters lacks sweep and reverse sweep against spin which kind of hinders in slow sr and in current cricket batters needs to play at higher rate even in middle over and if batter lacks these modern shots it makes it difficult as their defence is already not that good if bowls spins as well saw adil rashid when ind batters were trying to defend they were playing false shots. nz played sweep/reverse sweep against pak spinners rendering them ineffective. Imad wasim to me was a cheaper version of Ashley giles useless player. Shadab could have done what jaddu does for us if they had given him a longer rope. No 5th bowler. Rookie spinner. The only thing going for them is fast bowlers with new ball. Even if we have an average game, we will win.

Except Axar (who is primarily a lower order batter), there is no leftie. Not sure if jaddu (whose career SR is < 80 in ODI) can be considered as a batsman in ODI format. Shaheen Or any left arm pacer or even left arm spinner (like Santner) might cause lot of problems for our lineup (which has too many RHB), I think.

Do you think we should play all 3 pacers + Hardik vs Pak ? Considering that they usually bat well vs spin and its the pace where they struggle. When have they batted well vs spin in recent times? no need for all 3 pacers. shortens batting. plus what rana does, pandya can do (and has done to them previously).

Abrar is the dangerman Even Gill as well. That's where onus is more on Iyer, Axar & Pandya to handle the spin department...while Kohli, Gill, Rohit comparatively are more comfortable against non-swing pace. No hopes with KL, he can wilt under pressure even against a first grade kid. Lone Wolf 1
