tapandrun Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 (edited) Posted same on other thread too, bt think its more appropriate here Its not about who travels and how much time it takes to travel. Per miller its a 1hr 40 mins trip. CT is least bothered icc event, Icc have been making loses in all the icc events in last few years apart from that 1 icc event held in ind. Lets be clear if Ind team would have pulled out all the boards would have pulled out and have played some bilateral out side of FTP. There was no ct if Ind pulled out. Those who are saying Ind should have pulled out or if that happened to any-other sports or any-other team in cricket itself the cup would have went on. Yes but then they are quoting a top event of that particular sports, there is no mini FIFA, no mina euro, no mini someting else. Euro, copa ameica and other continent zone are the qualification for FIFA wc. There is no comparison to CT and major sporting event or even amongst ICC event it is seen as useless thing. So CT is not important event to any board or any team unless they win it. Now coming to venues and Ind getting to stay at 1 place. Donot think any1 was aware of the advantage Ind has before Ind won 2 matches and then some voices came up which is okay why no1 mentioned this before ??? do not think any Ind team fan or Ind tema cares if team plays at stadium or multiple stadiums, if team has to play in 3 stadium so be it. Now the point comes so why only 1 stadium its jst the costing thing fr icc for such a low interest event, even in its original form event would have had 3 venues and Ind was to stationed at 1 city and 1 stadium only. Add 1-2 more stadiums in uae for what was initially a 4 games affair had Ind not qualified for finals. That would add more cost than they are recuperating from the event. After hybrid model was finalized broadcaster didnt want pind stadium as one of the venue saying its was 3 venue event and as new venue is added Icc should remove pindi. So broadcaster also wanted to cut down cost have 2 or more venues in uae would have meant additional cost to icc and broadcasters (do not want to go into details of logistic and other stuffs ) So it was not bcci/icc/ind team who was favoured or asked for only 1 venue for Ind, it was costing issue. now last point is and not related to this event but icc as whole, only bcci makes positive contribution towards ICC why are other boards are not making it?? Yes some amount comes from ecb and ca but why not others ??? apart from ind there are few other cntries where cricket is only or 1st sports why no positive contribution to icc then??? is there any corruption there that they have not been able to make positive contribution are they telling its only sports that is followed and the org. not making money yet they are playing it for decades ??? So apart from bcci, ecb and ca other have to pull their weight and start making positive contribution towards icc. Edited March 7, 2025 by tapandrun rollingstoned 1

Frustrated Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Every team playing against Ind is getting undue advantage by winning the toss. ICC should look into it and ensure that coin is being tossed in a fair & transparent manner. Ultimate_Game 1

They enjoyed "home like" support at Hyderabad, feasting on runs as well as food. Didn't see anyone complain about the supposed unfair advantage they got by playing at Hyderabad! Frustrated 1
Frustrated Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Aus are playing every WTC Final at the same ground ie Lords. They clearly hv an edge over SA in the upcoming Final match against SA. ICC should be questioned on this.
Gambit Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Given our financial might, every Indian win or potential win will be scrutinised and excuses will be made beforehand. If we had won the 2023 WC, it would have been written off as fixed or having manipulated home conditions. I don't see anyone bring up the fact that the first three world cups were in England and what advantage they had. I don't see journalists bring up the blatantly rigged 2002 pitches in NZ prior to any NZ tour. We need to focus on winning tournaments and series. Australia did the same in the 2000s while everyone cried about sledging/bullying. Frustrated, rollingstoned, Ultimate_Game and 1 other 2 2

We must be doing pretty well for everyone to be upset with us and moaning about it express bowling 1
tapandrun Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Team will draw this kind of criticism till they become super team. They are strong yet beatable , like Ind lost NZ home series, SL ODIs and Bgt. Till there is a chink in the armour ppl will talk about it and find the reasons why they are winning. No one said anything about Aus of 2000s because they were super team, no1 ques. wi of 70s and 80s because they were super team. Plus doc pitches in icc event and not winning it does not help if you did it make sure you win, and doing concussion replacements like that of rana, ppl will question your tactics and methods. The criticism of the ct scheduling by players is fair but the commentators and explayer could have said it earlier putrevus 1
crictime Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 They have habit of cribbing about Asian wickets. They dislike any wicket which do not suit their bowling strengths. Better to ignire such rhetoric nonsense.
Prabhdeep Singh Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Dogs will bark so let them and enjoy the meltdown
EnterTheVoid Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Ask PCB. They are the ones responsible for scheduling. India are just playing at the grounds scheduled for them.
Prabhdeep Singh Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 New Zealand playing in 2021 WTC Final in England gave them advantage Australia playing in 2023 WTC Final in England gave them advantage crictime 1
Lord Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Shami has also admitted to the advantage. That should shut some here
Ultimate_Game Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Advantage or not, but you gotta be good enough to capitalize on it. IMO a lot of that advantage was nullified by losing every toss. Chasing in Dubai is much tougher and losing every toss was more of a disadvantage than an advantage.
tapandrun Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 (edited) little conspiracy here :::-- Most of the criticism is coming from eng media and ex-player and fun part is eng team never traveled also this theory that ind has unfair advantage only came after ind already qualified for sf beating pak and bd, do you think its to make eng vs ind a thing? Aus vs Ind is already a thing ppl on both side wants bgt and interested in games against each other. Both boards make mony out of it If ecb makes a thing an event eng vs ind every year it will draw a lot of mony towards ecb as well. Edited March 9, 2025 by tapandrun
First class Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 The way Indian team played, I wouldn't matter where the matches be played, they were the most balanced and the best team and deserved to be the champion.
