Gollum Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 LINK Rohit Sharma has got the backing of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and its selection panel to lead the team for the 5-match Test series versus England, which starts in Headingley from June 20 New guy, singhvivek141, raki05 and 9 others 5 7
Gollum Posted March 15, 2025 Author Posted March 15, 2025 Fatso will break Bumrah's back, latter should tactfully declare his unavailability as long as Rohit is there. Even if it costs India a marquee series, or Bumrah his legacy, no problem.....health first. rollingstoned, Number, nevada and 2 others 1 4
zaqw222222 Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 After CT win, this was bound to happen and also with Bumrah not being a certainty to last the complete test series will always dent his chances of becoming a full time test captain. It seems like once again bowlers will be changed for Eng series whereas there will be no changes in batting department.
Gollum Posted March 15, 2025 Author Posted March 15, 2025 Jaiswal-KL opening jodi is India's best bet. Fatso will ruin that........apart from his defensive, clueless captaincy and non-existent catching/fitness. I can't believe he is facing no repercussions or disciplinary action for his disgraceful PR drama in the middle of 5th test. raki05 1
Lone Wolf Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 This will expedite his departure from Indian cricket. Indian fans will quickly forget CT win after disaster in England. Overall a win win scenario.. we were anyways not winning with our bowling attack

Overall a win win scenario.. we were anyways not winning with our bowling attack Their bowling attack of atkinson Woakes potts are more inexperienced compared to shami bumrah siraj if it. Its the batsmen who will lay eggs on a cold damp morning in manchester and then the bowlers will be expected to miraculously hatch the chicken.. Sgattick10 1
Frustrated Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 All the ICFers deserve a party in advance from @maniac@sage.. raki05, sage and rollingstoned 1 2
Gollum Posted March 15, 2025 Author Posted March 15, 2025 His average has already dropped to 40 from 45-46. Will end in mid 30s, below Murali Vijay, Rahane. Lone Wolf, raki05 and Frustrated 1 2

Shami Siraj are worst possible bowlers out there .. Shami can't bowl on a spot anymore & can't even control white ball movement. Guy wasn't able to bowl 4 overs on the trot without going off... Embarrassing to watch him. Siraj is useless trundler. Bumrah will be all alone. Harshit ain't suited to those conditions. English batting line up has many batters who are under age 30 & zero batters on the wrong side of 30. We are basically opposite of that. They will be motivated to beat us & will prepare hard. Not enough talent in Indian batting group I am afraid. Edited March 15, 2025 by Lone Wolf raki05 and Gollum 1 1
Lone Wolf Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 If Rohit plays Gill be dropped. Their returns will be similar in England anyways but it is Rohit's uninspiring captaincy & field placements that will hurt us. India will be handicapped by Shami And Siraj two legit halwa bowlers. Thakur will sneak into somehow (100%) making BazBalling effortlessly easy. England needs to prepare batting beauties and simply out bat us Attack us with Atkinson Archer Woakes Josh Tongue, Potts. Left arm spin of Hartley. Jaime Smith MoTs
Gollum Posted March 15, 2025 Author Posted March 15, 2025 Think Jaiswal will stamp his authority over them, another 500+ series loading. Hope he does a 2012 Amla on Poms.

Pace is enough for those conditions and has county experience. We can also expect Virat repeat edging into slips again Lone Wolf and raki05 2

Or 2011-12 Dravid at least. He will be the lone Ranger in our batting group. It will be the weakest batting unit to ever tour England make no mistake. Pant will likely push us to 250-280 type totals. England will score 450+ with ease against our attack. Root will again become Bradman but he will be aided by Brook and Smith Duckett. Tall Crawley will be tough to dislodge for our oldies. Kuldeep got him in India thankfully but he looked at ease against everyone else. Might score daddy hundreds. BCCI ideally needs a wholesale type of revamp of our test side.

Shami Siraj Bumrah the usual trioca will lead us to a thrashing of epic proportions against bazballers who smoked a much better Test attack of NZ in NZ. Bumrah will be under injury cloud with Rohit over bowling him (will he even survive IPL?)

neel roy Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 We still haveny found a replacement for a controlled swing bowler like Bhuvi. I wish NKR is being groomed to at least replicate some of it and bowl fuller. He can be a good choice if he increases speed by 5-7 kph at around 132-133 ish.
tweaker Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 (edited) Selectors are mixing different format .Rohit has lost 7 tests ,both home and away . If he is not captain ,he will not be selected in the playing 11. Edited March 15, 2025 by tweaker nevada 1
tweaker Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 He was dropped as captain and player in the last test in Australia, why is he backed for 5 test series against England cowboysfan 1
singhvivek141 Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 Smith who is 10x times more fitter than Rohit has retired from 2/3 formats, and is focusing on his best format. Rohit's best format now is ODI's...stick to that and leave Tests to the players who actually care about winning. Else, Rohit will see his stumps cartwheeling in the English conditions. Woakes, Atkinson, Robinson etc are good enough at their home. Frustrated, AuxiliA and Suhaan 3
