Sen is with Punjab Kings...

I don't know if he will get an opportunity. PK are not even playing Harpreet Brar who is their reliable performer over the years.

 

He was in NCA, came back and played last 2 games in Ranji and bowled quite a good number of overs.

 

He is again similar to Prasidh, and can be only be used in the early or middle overs as his death skills are incomplete. Prasidh is lucky that he is getting support from GT (which he didn't get while playing for India), Sen don't have that value yet.

All he can do from his end is remain super fit and ready at all times. And when he gets that opportunity he should not think of anything else and just land the ball where he wants to at high pace.

Sen was in great form in domestic white ball cricket in 2022. Was picking 3 wickets per match in VHT AFAIR. Had a great red ball Irani Cup too. 

 

Got selected for India in ODIs. Played one and then got injured at the worst time possible. 

 

After that it was the NCA at work like usual and Sen stayed unfit / semi-fit for a long time  (  similar to the plight of Chahar, Nagarkoti, Tyagi, Umran, Mayank etc. ) 

 

The biggest issue is NCA's poor fitness management of fast bowlers. They need to introspect what is going wrong on their part.

And then when we go to tournaments like BGT or England tour.

 

All we will do is to pin our hopes on Bumrah to pull us in every game...as we didn't develop a single proper fast bowler.

 

All we kept playing is bowlers like Mukesh, Sandeep, Avesh, Unadkut type third grade trundlers.

Yash Thakur has not got one game.

 

And the team for the England series may be selected on the basis of IPL. 

 

Siraj,Prasiddh, Shami,Rana, are bowling with full.pace ,intensity in IPL and may get injured for the test series. 

 

Bumrah should not be hurried in playing in IPL

Why this uber mediocre Avesh gets to play despite stinking and a bowler o ke prince is forced to warm benc

This Avesh also had a free ride with the national side as well

NCA seemingly does its best to maintain the status quo. 

 

Unless a newbie is a real tearaway talent who rips off the NCA blinkers they end up sitting and gathering dust at the Nobody Cares Academy.

There is no excuse for not maintaining the fitness for a 4 over format. I strongly feel that some of these fast bowlers are contend with their ipl earnings and don't have the urge to go the extra mile.

Putting a lid on their learning curve will eventually lower their stakes since competition is only going to be stiffer
