MoD Debunkings on May 10, 2025
The Indian MoD, in a joint briefing with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on May 10, 2025, actively countered several Pakistani claims:
  • Undamaged Air Bases: MoD released time-stamped images showing Indian air bases (e.g., Sirsa, Surat, Nagrota, Udhampur) remain undamaged, debunking Pakistani claims of destruction.
  • Neutralized Threats: MoD confirmed India’s S-400 and Counter-UAS Grid neutralized Pakistani drones and missiles, with debris recovered as evidence, refuting claims of successful attacks.
  • Operational Integrity: MoD reiterated no Indian aircraft, including Rafales, were lost, countering Pakistani claims of downed jets.

Analysis of Specific Events
  • Capture of an Indian Pilot: The Shivani Singh capture claim was debunked on May 10, 2025, by PIB. No other pilot capture claims emerged in the past 5 days, but open X threads spread unverified rumors, refuted by MoD’s operational updates.

Open X Threads and Ongoing Misinformation

Open X threads from Pakistani accounts (e.g., @Huza1ifa@mr__khan00@BeSociall,@shadowed_news) continue to spread unverified claims about jet downings, pilot captures, and missile strikes. Turkish-linked threads are minimal but include the #OperationSindoor video. Chinese accounts amplify jet crash claims, aligning with state media. These threads lack official confirmation and rely on debunked media, as countered by MoD’s May 10 briefings. The volume of misinformation suggests a coordinated effort, with Pakistani handles most active.

Implications and Observations

The MoD’s proactive debunking on May 10, 2025, with time-stamped evidence, underscores India’s efforts to counter Pakistani propaganda. X remains a hotspot for misinformation, with Pakistani sources recycling old footage and fabricating claims. Turkish and Chinese involvement, though less frequent, aligns with geopolitical interests. Fact-checking by PIB and media outlets is critical, but open threads challenge public perception. MoD’s advisories, per Times of India, urge reliance on official sources.

All the so called false narrative where is the counter from Govt of India. Not one person has come out and said we did not lose any rafales

My reading of entire situation was

a) India does not have resources for a war

b) Indian over estimate its economy and military power. both are still decades behind wester world half a century behind china.

c) Everyone looks at us as a 3rd world country in the same bucket as pakistan

Does it mean after first precision strike we dint do any attack and all those drone crashing in rwalpindi , lahore was fake. Also claim that we destroyed their 3 airbases was also wrong??

No, they were true. They were mentioned in the briefing that India had attacked 4 of their air bases.

The Indian campaign on May 8th was engineered and blessed by Ashwini Vaishnav as part of disinformation campaign . Even some well known Indian Twitterati were involved on purpose. After that day, I don’t see such tall claims. Much of Indian attack was perfectly highlighted by the press briefing held today

Don't be a downer. This is what he said

Air Marshal AK Bharti did not confirm or deny the claims, stating instead that “losses are a part of any combat scenario.”

It could be interpreted anyway you want. I could care less about Rafale loss. He also said all pilots are safe. The objective was to hit the terrorist haven and military bases if it gets escalated

NEW DELHI, May 11 (Reuters) - The Indian Air Force said on Sunday that "losses are a part of combat" without giving details but added that all its pilots were back home after fighting with Pakistan this week, responding to a question on whether the force suffered losses.
A Pakistani military spokesperson told Reuters on Wednesday that five Indian aircraft had been shot down, but the claim was not confirmed by India.

Also on Wednesday, four government sources in Indian Kashmir told Reuters that three fighter jets crashed in the federal territory, hours after India said it struck nine Pakistani "terrorist infrastructure" sites across the border.

That's the whole article I posted above :hysterical: This article summarized a press conference of half an hour into 6 lines. The press conference also revealed multiple strikes in paaki air bases.

@MechEng This is the famed reuters, where its news are trusted by one and all. Looks like america's raw nerve is touched. This is deliberate misinformation where you leave everything else and focus on a slightly negatives (debatable) of the operation Sindoor. I have always regarded reuters as a western mouthpiece. Now its proven.

Do you know where I got it. Its in peepee where they celebrate an ass whooping that they got :hysterical:

Yes, it was a Twitterati only at the beginning . MSM caught the trend and joined in, much in a non-coordinated way. Some went overboard with some channels sending Indian Army to Lahore. Major Arya was unhinged. The channels going it could be for eyefalls.

In this era of SM and clickbait journalism, it is best to stay away from news during a war.
