Easwaran is also one I'm not sold on given his struggles on Aus I would have definitely preferred Devdutt but maybe he won't be fit in time and seems like he isn't opening anymore. There is no other back up opening option

Baffling to see no Harshit but they went to Shardul instead.

Maybe coz they wanted experience alongside Siraj & Bumrah as Shami's isnt choosen.

 

But thats unfair on Harshit.....Prasidh is a good selection. Akashdeep has to setup up, lets see what's Arsh gonna do.

Hit the deck bowler. We already have Prasidh. Also he is one to replace Shami in Odis and with Arshdeep and Bumrah will form backbone of t20s and odis in near future.. 

 

Have the reserves been announced?

Plenty of bowling options, will reduce load on Bumrah. You can also use Sundar/Kuldeep depending on pitch.

NKR bowling is not good enough. More of a batsman who bowl.

Infact, Nair can come in his place to bolster the batting if NKR batting form is not good.

Are you in Mars? Akashdeep now has the best hair in town. Go and check his photos. Jokes apart he has been picked to replace Shami. Shreyas Iyer has been given enough chances and McCullum from stands asked bowlers to bowl at his head and in 2 balls he was gone in

the old trafford test.. Chakravarti cant even bowl 10 overs without huffing, do you think he has the skills and fitness to last 5 days and with English summer being dry it will be long days for bowlers..

KL has to do a lot work to get his average to a respectable average of 40 or above.

KL Rahul averages 40 in England with close to 1000 runs. Even if he averages 40 this series I ll be happy.

Easwaran - BAD SELECTION.  Going by the Past, i am 100% sure, Team will not play Easwaran. lets see easwaran scored in india A games. I am quite sure that He will fail as in the past. easwaran may have scored big runs in domestic cricket but he has never performed even in tour games so that he can actually push for his case in TESTS. Have they Picked easwaran just to go and deliver water .  they should have PICKED " Harshit RANA or Shreyas IYER" , i would have been sure that they may get at least 1 game to play.

Washington - is he going to be played ahead of JADDU? if yes pick him.

Kuldeep - will he get a turning track in england, there is no LOGIC to pick 3 spinners on a tour to ENGLAND. England may play no spinners in their 11 and play 4 pacers and 1 medium pace AR. HARSHIT RANA should have been picked ahead of Kuldeep.

Sarfaraz would have done well on these Eng pitches. Maybe even Shreyas. 

 

Gill as captain is surely a prank? No way is he good enough to be in the squad in overseas tests, even this washed up Kohli, Rohit are like Bradman compared to him. Imagine Bumrah taking orders from this lukkha.

He averages 34 for 600 runs in england, you are confusing with overall record vs England which includes his test best score 199 in India.
