Poor selection of players here if they wanted to get actual test players acclimatize then send the players they are planning to play in Eng test series.

 

In Eng Lions team the oldest player is 27 and in Ind there are 3-4 30 or 30+.

Why is Eshwaran captaining the side, let Jaiswal captain. 

 

Bowlers like Mukesh, Deshpandey, Khaleel have any kind of test or intnl potential ??, they sent 3 spinner on a A tour to Eng

The only bowler who looks even halfway impressive is Kamboj. 

 

If pitches are flat Bazball pitches, their main team will hammer the likes of Thakur.

I'd rather punt on Sundar ahead of Thakur for that 5th slot.  Kamboj might have looked good but is pretty much a younger inexperienced Thakur.

To be honest, I'd pick Thakur ahead of NKR given the experience and bowling skillset.  NKR's batting isn't that much better than Thakur.

Kuldeep must be in the main playing XI if Pitch is expected to be better for batting.  He has mental edge over Bazballers 

 

I am not sold on Jadeja as a test player anymore.  His bowling is pedestrian these days & does he warrants a spot over a specialist batter is debatable.

 

Sundar vs Jadeja could depend on left handers in English line up.

I think Jadeja would start for now.

Now if you want Sundar vs Jadeja vs Shardul.. pick your poison.

most likely flat pitches- their MO is score as much as possible quickly and hope they can out bat us and hope for cloud cover when they are bowling

They have more quality Test bowling options than we do currently. 

 

Especially for SENA.  

 

Take out Bumrah and their depth and quality is superior to ours.

Thakur ahead of NKR anyday of the week. We need bowling depth and Shardul provides that,not NKR.

I think Shardul, whilst not a perfect player by any means, is an option that work there because he is much more of a bowler than NKR. 

 

If we had a good batting line up, I'd agree with four proper pacemen but we don't there are a few untested middle order players. Unfortunately we need the cushion. Ideally we'd have an actual bowler who can bat in the way that starc and Cummins can. But ours are mugs.

Folks saying Shardul has been extremely average to watch.  Bowls way too many half volleys 

Harshit bowls one boundary ball per over after few good uns in between.

 

Kamboj has been cut above the rest.

NKR bowling needs to improve a lot.Thakur should play first test as he is better bowler and crisis man with bat.

 

But today Thakur is bowling in low 70s and bowling crap.
