straight swap- Iyer for Rinku.

Can't do that because Iyer is a no 4; Rinku is a 6 or 7

Gill

Sai

Iyer

SKY

Abhishek(allrounder)

Jaiswal

Sanju(keeper)

KL(keeper)

Pant(keeper)

Parag( allrounder)

Dube(allrounder)

Tilak

How do you construct a Top 6 with these many options? Rinku should no longer be in contention imo

Likes of Vaibhav , Priyansh, Mhatre are closing in as well.

I'd go

Abhishek

Sai

Iyer

SKY

keeper

Parag/Dube

It's one way you can maybe include Iyer. But Tilak Varma will be the sacrificial lamb in that case.

Dube should be nowhere near T20is IMHO...  Plus you forgot Hardik :-)

Why would Kaif lie?
For attention? Why else no one noticed it and he also raised it after the loss

I didn't see any changes in the pitch from how it played against Pakistan.

Hardik and Axar at #7 and #8.

It's not just about Dube in particular. I suspect we won't play more than 3 pure batters in a T20 lineup

3 batters +2 batting allrounders + keeper + 2 bowling allrounders + 3 bowlers.

You have to be among the top 3 batters in the country to get in purely on batting

Gill maybe not.  But if Tilak can play T20's , then Sai easily can.  Plays 140 + pace and spin better than him and does so with a degree of control that hardly anyone plays with.

No need choker saala

Non choker list

Axar Patel

End of list

Not sure what is wrong with Iyer. He was nerveless in the eliminator. But hima nd Gill play these nothing shots in crucial games. Generally they are not wicket taking deliveries. A soft pull or soft poke or soft shot on the up.

All boil downs to culture of the team and previous experiences, kind of been there and done that.

Players considered gods and kings who always fails on big stages what kind of culture it brings to the team.

PPl have their heros, they try to emulate them, want to play like them and be like them and once these new player gets into team they look at them what these gr8s are doing and they follow them.

And once they see their kings and gods are no show at big stage what these newer players think-- if they can not do it how can we do and these things carry-on.

Take Aus for example they have seen their seniors show up in big games and they try to do that. Since their super team they have still won multiple more WCs their senior plays are ready for big games.

KL , kolhi and Rohit they are Inds top 3 in last few years and they have come short at big event. Even that kolhi's innings in the t20i wc finals was a bad t20 innings, today as well.

Look at what happened to two of the fastest bowlers ind found -- both are no where. One of then is bowling 135 kmph just after an year of bowling 150 kmph regularly, other is no where to be seen. They are getting advices that pace is not everything, have you heard this from Aus seniors, Pak seniors or SA seniors????

Ind bowlers had no one to follow they have no idea how to effectively use that kind of pace. bowlers like mavi, akash singh lost the pace when they are supposed to in their primes, these ppl were 140+kmph in their u19 days.

None of Ind bowlers although being run of the mill trundlers have no batting skills because there is no culture of having secondary skill in the Ind cricketing set-up.

They think like they are Mcgrath, murli who do not have to bat and can win matches single handedly on their bowling

We need to get some way to bring him in. He seems to be at the peak of his skills. Way he was guiding Yorkers to boundaries and hitting with right power and timings shows these are his 2-3 years of prime. Maximize this and take some hard calls regarding the top order anchor type players. Gill probably does not fit in or Jaiswal if he is off color. SKY has shown he has some big impact years left
