Good jeans(genes) look good on pacers

I will call the elephant in the room

How many great fast bowlers has indian subcontinent genes produced who had remarkable test careers

Pakistan - Wasim , Imran

India - Bumrah

Sri Lanka - Nil

Bangladesh- Nil

Bumrah is already nearing end with body unable to handle fast bowling

Look at the white genes

McGrath Cummins Hazlewood Starc Anderson Lillee Botham Broad Steyn Donald  pollock and many many more

Blacks

Rabada Ntini walsh Ambrose marshall nd many other west indian bowlers

I think india or anyone in subcontinent will never produce world class pace bowling unit as we don't have the jeans for it and we will always be a good test team but not a great team

To be defeated 3 times defending 370 just shows how poor our pace bowlers are

Physique of krishna akashdeep are laughable to say just poor jeans

We are head and shoulders above other commonwealth nations when it comes to wrestling, the most physically demanding sport known to humankind. The explosiveness you need there makes fast bowling look like child's play.

Genes and all is overrated, at least in this sport. Our wrestlers are able to hang with the world's elite because of their discipline, willpower, hard work, capability to endure pain and suffering in their training sessions. Our cricketers are overpampered babies who are content with mediocrity, easy IPL money.

This is sad. We lost a series and as a fan we are now taking about genes of our player. Put yourself in their place and imagine if this thread was about you.

Pakistan had Wasim, Waqar, Imran and Akhtar.

Akhtar has 12 5-fers in 46 tests. He ended career with 178 wickets at 25 and most of 2000s was played on flat pitches.

We all know akhtar chucked and had an stop start career due to poor fitness

Waqar has an overrated test career and has really one good ball i e. yorker

U missed kapil dev, he was our main fast bowler n bowled gazillion overs. we had no other seamers to take wickets imagine that. Plus a good batsman and very good fielder. He would put this current 4 seamers combined to shame in all departments

Neeraj Chopra emerged and now there are some bright prospects in Javelin throws. I think problem is deeper though genes may be an issue.

it's not genes. it might be epigenetics - habits passed down. that aside, no indian bowler ever in the last 30 years has debuted for india even close to the finished article. even bumrah had to learn a whole bunch of skills. clearly there isnt the domestic structure, pitches, incentives to produce fast bowlers. IPL has killed it off completely. bowling well enough to go at 'only' 6 rpo in T20 isn't appealing.

We have Kapil, Srinath, zaheer, Ishant, Bumrah. All five have more than 200 test wickets. Only 3 Pakistani have more than 200 test wickets?

Above Eng, Aus, NZ, RSA.

Do they even prepare for wrestling seriously? Isn't Wrestling more a technical game nowadays?

Talking about explosiveness.

Brute strength is different. It can be gained by working out in the gym. Pace is more a natural thing. It can't be gained by working out. Either you have it or you don't. NZ Australia produce so many genuine quicks with such low population.

No one is throwing over 85 meters except Chopra.
