The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the India A squad for the three unofficial one-dayers against South Africa A.

 

 

Tilak Varma (c), Ruturaj Gaikwad (vc), Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Ishan Kishan (wk), Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, Vipraj Nigam, Manav Suthar, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Prabhsimran Singh (wk).

Instead of selecting Rana,Prasidh, Arshdeep, selectors should have selected another pacets,Aaquib,Yash etc

This is a good squad!

 

I hope Abhishek is told clearly that he is expected to bat the exact same way in 50 overs match as he does in T20

 

Gurnoor Brar should be in this team and not rotting on the bench for that Asia cup squad.

Feels like any other possible candidate is in the Asia cup squad ! Is Aqib a good list A bowler? Yash Thakur is with emerging squad isn't he? But Dayal could have featured in that team too

 

Anyway Rana, Arshdeep and PK aren't ODI regulars so seems fair to give them this opportunity

Suthar & Sindhu both are SLAs. Not sure if both will play. Sindhu is a better batsman, Suthar is more skilled in bowling. Same goes for Parag & Badoni.

 

Khaleel seems to be the new flavour of town. A handicap (metaphorically) in field and with bat. Bowling too isnt something exceptional, just generic.

 

Kishan seems to be back in the scheme of things, but PrabhSimran can offer more on top courtesy of his understanding with Abhishek.
