Johnson, Harris, Clarke, Tait were decent too after McGrath, Gillespie, Lee, Bichel, Fleming, Kasper.

Jhye isn't that quick either. Was hoping they would try Morris.

Spencer Johnson wasn't seen in LOIs vs India... Guess he is injured.

Owned Poyzz in that LOI tour.  Bowls 145ks top speed easily

James Pattinson was good, but had terrible  luck with injuries (esp. back). He played tests as recently as the NZ home series in 2019/20 (the last pre-COVID series).

Like him, most of the pace bowlers coming through now have issues with injuries. If Lance Morris can get right (very big “IF”, I know), he’s a definite prospect.

Spencer Johnson isn't a test quality bowler. Average in List A too.

But Lance Morris is good enough in FC. Averages 24.x after 26 FC games and likely to bowl 133 k to 143 k atleast.

What is the very big " IF " about ?  Injury ?

If fit Lance Morris can't be worse than Dogett and Neser.

There is a bowler in their pool called  Mahli Beardman. He was the U-19 bowler who ran through our u-19 team in the last worldcup final. I posted a video of his net session some time back  on the speed thread; he looks quick. Saw some highlights where he was bowling 136-140 of some bbl game. However he is already fast tracked at 20. Barely even played FC but if he is fast tracked into the Aussie system so young without much of experience means they see something special in this kid.

He was recorded at a speed of 148 kph, according to reports.

They also had Callum Vidler ,he's also quite sharp ,would have come with their recent A side here but got injured

'Absolutely Filthy': Nathan Lyon Tears Into Selectors, Coach Over Last-Minute Gabba Snub

Imagine if an Indian player had a reaction like this, all the name calling....

Ashwin after BGT 20-21, didn't get to play a single test in Eng 2021 tour against that weak English batting lineup. He didn't make any comment but at times looked disappointed, usko leke everyone started calling him selfish, not a team man etc.

Lyon was dropped for a home test first time since 2012 WACA, and he lashed out.

It could also mean that they don't have any serious prospects aged 22 to 29.
